Debbie Macomber

Harlequin, 2000

great wrap-up
This book was great! It wrapped up all the happenings in Hard Luck, Alaska. It also rapped up all the characters live's. This series left no loose ends. I liked this book because all the characters from the previous two books were brought back in and had a part in the story. This book showed the bond between all the people of Hard Luck. This was an easy read. You will want to keep ...

David Joachim, The Editors of Men's Health

Rodale Books, 2002

Not a man, but I LOVE this cookbook for our family
So I bought these cookbooks for my husband on his days to cook (yeah right) and I'm really impressed with them. There are some GREAT recipes in this book series that aren't too bad health wise. I've actually used some of the recipes and they came out really tasty. Hubby even was able to make one and follow the easy recipe no problem. Highly recommended!

Project Everlasting: Two Bachelors Discover the Secrets of Americas Greatest Marriages15 reviews
Mathew Boggs, Jason Miller

Fireside, 2007

Useful For Discussion And Self Examination
While I agree on that message the book conveys would be considered 'common sense', I am continuously amazed at how little common sense I encounter in the world at large. There are too many couples who rush into marriage without considering that the commitment they are entertaining is larger than themselves. I think the book serves as a tool for use in self examination and reflection, hopefully ...

The Bachelor (The Chandler Brothers, Book 1)79 reviews
Carly Phillips

Forever, 2002

A Great Winter Read!
I got this book as a gift and I finished it in one sitting! Terribly indulgent I know, but this book was so much fun. Sometimes these types of books can get bogged down with too much negative stuff but this one was lite and the romance was hot! Some books are just meant for pure fun and this is really one of those books!

Sandra Brown

Awesome
Sandra Brown never lets me down. A Whole New Light was just another one of her many, many great books. She makes you really get into the character like you are the one in the book. Great, great book.

The Professional Bachelor Dating Guide - How to Exploit Her Inner Psycho90 reviews
Brett Tate

TPB Publishing, LLC, 2007

Tells it exactly like it is
A highly charged topic, and sensationally titled piece. The advice works for 14-80 yr. old men. With so many nonsense PUA titles out there, this is intellectually a level higher. No games, pick up lines, or poser stuff. Manipulative Women, feminists and metrosexuals will hate it, because it tells it like it is. The author sees through women with hilarious wit, knows every rope and technique. ...

Bachelor Girl (Little House)16 reviews
Roger Lea Macbride

HarperTrophy, 1999

Excellent portrayal of a young woman...seeing the real world
I think " bachelor girl" is excellent. It manages to portray an young adult's frustrations and dilemas almost accurately. The way Rose felt frustrated about not doing anything useful, when she lived with her parents and then her struggle to work and support herself...May be this book is not appealing to children as it deals mostly with an young adult's mind... and even the temporary loss of ...

The Bride and the Bachelors: Five Masters of the Avant-Garde2 reviews
Calvin Tomkins

Penguin (Non-Classics), 1976

excellent art criticism for the neophyte
this book is a surprisingly accessible work on the lives of five important artists (duchamp, cage, tinguely, rauschenberg, and cunningham) of the avant-garde, each working from a different discipline. tomkins has gathered exhaustive biographical data on each artist and the reader gets the impression that he is good friends with each of them. his critical stance on the artwork discussed is ...

Extreme Bachelor (Thrillseekers Anonymous, Book 2)14 reviews
Julia London

Berkley, 2006

Absolutely loved it! :-)
Wow! I was really surprised at the reviews this book got. Having read just about everything (except Highlander series)that JL has written, I thought this was one of her best works. She has a way of always making me fall just a little bit in love with the main male characters in her books and this wasn't any different. I thought it was a really sweet love story. I enjoyed the characters, the ...

The Hill Bachelors3 reviews
William Trevor

Penguin (Non-Classics), 2001

Actions/Consequences And There Debris
This is the first time that I have read the work of Mr. William Trevor. If his collection of short stories, "Hill Bachelors", is any indication of the man's talent I will read whatever else has been published. The volume contains 12 stories that all share parallels, however they do not need to be read as a collection, they all can stand-alone. The stories could be classified as redemptive, ...

Ideal Cookbook for Men -Great Food, Lots of Laughs
The cartoons and recipe chapter headings alone are enough reason to buy this super cookbook. Look up 20+ Ways to Cook Hamburger and Career-Path Casseroles - well worth the price of admission. These recipes are written in an off-the-wall style, but they really work. I gave this book to my two sons when they moved out to go to university and to work, and they loved it. The recipes range from ...

The Bachelor List16 reviews
Jane Feather

Bantam, 2004

Wonderful!
I really loved this book. The first page hooked me and I was a goner from there. Constance, Prudence, and Chastity are very well-developed characters that make you feel as if you know them personally. The story is very good with secret newspapers, self-indulgent papas, and a rather explosive relationship with a parliment member. I rather good read. I enjoyed every minute.

A Matter Of Trust: The Case Of The Mesmerizing Boss\The Case Of The Confirmed Bachelor1 review
Diana Palmer

Harlequin, 2006

100% Formulaic
First, let me clarify that is from the Media Scholar's wife. What's good about this book is its' price: it's cheap. You get two stories for the price of one. Another 'good' point is, I've read worse. What the back cover doesn't tell you is that both stories are part of a series and are completely connected (which I, as a reader, don't love). I can live with that, though. Unfortunately, the ...

Bear's Guide To College Degrees By Mail & Internet: 100 Accredited Schools That Offer Associate's, ...1 review
Mariah P. Bear

Ten Speed Press, 2005

Helpful Book, Bad Consulting Service
This book was useful in BEGINNING a search of schools which would provide the education I was seeking via the internet. I had to do lengthy and extensive follow-up/research based on the information provided in this text. One word of caution, an offer is made for "consulting services" (for a fee) to assist the reader with their search. I was most dissapointed by this service. The information ...

A Cozy, "Feels like Home" Read
I am so glad I found this book. It is a small book and I usually devour books in no time at all, but I truly savored this one. It's meant to be read slowly and appreciatively. Going inside of this book made me feel relaxed, comfortable, and peaceful. I'd recommend it to anyone who is a book lover and enjoys cozy reads that show how special that every day life can be.

(Book Jacket Status: Jacketed) R. K. Narayan (1906—2001) witnessed nearly a century of change in his native India and captured it in fiction of uncommon warmth and vibrancy.
