Barnyard Mystery (Golden Sight 'n' Sound Book)3 reviews
Golden Books, Pat Relf

Golden Books, 1992

Thrilling from beginning to end
When I first picked up this book I was uncertain as to how I would like it. I'm normally a straight-sight girl so when I saw this book had sound I was a little hesitant. All my worries were soon dispelled however because when I started reading and pushing the sound buttons I was immediately drawn into the 'barnyard mystery.' The determination of Rose and Sally Dog in their search for Mommy's ...

Giles Andreae

Tiger Tales, 2002

Beautifully illustrated!!
This book's simple rhythm and beautiful illustrations of barnyard characters make this one of my son's favorites(age 23 months). The brightly colored pictures of animals with large text make this book eye-catching and appealing to the very young.

Who Said Moo? (Lift-the-Flap Barnyard Mystery)9 reviews
Harriet Ziefert

Harpercollins Childrens Books, 1996

Excellent baby gift
We received this book as a gift when my son was born, and I started to read it to him when he was just a few weeks old. Even then this book captivated him because the colors and pictures are so engaging. My son is still little (only 10 months), but it's clear that this is his favorite book -- he pulls it off the shelf to look at the pictures and brings it to us to read. Even after reading and ...

Stomp your feet!!!
What a treat to buy this for a friend's baby. My youngest child LOVED this book because as others have pointed out, it is fantastic! Just reading the words results in a great rhyme and makes you dance. You can't help it. Babies love it, toddlers love it, and parents love to read it, even the 4,999th time. It makes everyone smile. We wore the cover off and had to buy multiple copies. What a great ...

Turtleback Books Distributed by Demco Media, 2001

The perfect lullaby
My 2 1/2 year old loves this book and song. The music is printed at the end - and it puts her right to sleep nearly every time. She sings the song whenever she is putting her animals to bed, and it is a lovely story! The illustrations are great for this age - I wholly recommend it!

"Busy" Books are the Best!
My son, now 2 years old, has loved all the "Busy" books by John Schindel since he was about 18 months old. He especially loves Busy Piggies, Busy Penguins, Busy Doggies and Busy Kitties...goes through them almost daily still. Now he loves Busy Barnyard...the photos are great! Unlike the other books, Busy Barnyard has a wide variety of different animals: cows, chickens, horses, goats, geese, ...

My 5 month old son adores this book! I was afraid it would be a bit too long for him to tolerate, but as long as I keep moving the hand puppet he is just enthralled! I can't recommend it enough!

Barnyard Tracks
I have three children and I find myself continually picking this book up at the public library. Over the years, my children never seem to get tired of this book (and Mom doesn't get tired of reading it either). They love guessing and knowing the correct answer of the animal on the next page. We love it!

Barnyard Games & Puzzles: 100 Mazes, Word Games, Picture Puzzles, Jokes and Riddles, Brainteasers, and Fun ...1 review
Helene Hovanec, Patrick Merrell

Storey Publishing, LLC, 2006

Great fun
My 6 yr old got this for his birthday and really enjoys the puzzles. He's an advanced reader for his age, and has had no problems with the level 1 and 2 puzzles. He sometimes needs help figuring out what to do with the stage 3 puzzles, but then he does them well. We plan on getting more books from this series as he finishes them.

Chris Tougas

Mouse Works, 1997

My 9 month old loves this one!
Barnyard Tails is a great little book. Each page represents a different animal and real tail that babies can touch and feel, or try to pull like mine does. I also like the size of this book, the pictures are big and easy to see and read.

The Barnyard Epithet
What really happened at the Chicago Conspiracy Trial? What was Judge Hoffman's courtroom like? What was the nature of the defendant's contempt? Who was responsible for politicizing the trial? In answer to such questions, Mr. Lukas, the New York Times reporter for the trial, gives a firsthand account of that extraordinary event. It was certain from the outset that the trial would be ...
