Masters: Beadweaving: Major Works by Leading Artists (Masters (Lark Books)) 6 reviews Carol Wilcox Wells
Lark Books, 2008
Love it! Love it! LOVE IT! Just got my copy today and I'm more than thrilled. It's a nice heavy, quality book for the price. The photos are good and the little blurbs about the artists are very nice. Yes, we have seen some of the beadwork by famous artists (Diane Fitzgerald, etc.) before in other books, but a lot of it I haven't seen before.
Can't wait to sit down tonight and pore over every page!

Making Jewelry with Gemstone Beads 4 reviews Barbara Case
David & Charles, 2007
Beautiful projects with gorgeous photographs I am new to beading (about one year) and have found books on my level to be either boring or ugly in their designs. This book is neither. It has gorgeous photographs and more than enough intermediate and advanced projects for me to shoot for. Each project is labeled by skill level and time necessary to complete. You will be amazed at what you can complete in less than an afternoon. Highly ...

The Glass Bead Game: (Magister Ludi) A Novel 84 reviews Hermann Hesse
Picador, 2002
The best Hesse's book First time I read it when I was 15, and I thought it was one of the best books I've ever read. One has to be prepared to read this book and to be able to accept all: strange combination of math, music, language, different ideas, search for harmony. I reread this book every 2-3 years.

SO incredibly fun! Best Klutz book yet! My 7 year old loved loved loved this book. It came with tons and tons of great pages to make all kinds of fairies. Easy, yet creative! I also love that Klutz gives you tons of other ideas of how to make fairies without the products included. They are basically getting you started with the products provided in the book, then they show you tons of other great fairy making ideas. Possibilites are ...

Bead & Wire Art Jewelry: Techniques & Designs for all Skill Levels 26 reviews J. Marsha Michler
Krause Publications, 2006
Great Projects! I have been a beader for a long time, and I have always wanted to try wirework. However, many books looked too simplistic, or chunky, or had too much wire coils for my taste. I finally saw this book in a store, and bought it on the spot, along with the materials needed to get started. I love the variety of projects, and the differing skills levels in the book. I definitely reccomend this book.

Beyond the basics, finally!!! I really like this book! I have been making beads for over 12 years and have been looking for a book that has information for the intermediate to advanced beadmaker. Peyote Stitch: Beading Projects 7 reviews The Editors of Bead&Button Magazine
Kalmbach, 2005
Worthwhile book for beginner or seasoned beader I enjoyed paging through the book and looking at the great photos as well as trying the projects. A new beader will find the book very helpful and seasoned beaders will be able to do the projects handily and take off on their own from there. A great all-around addition to a beader's library.

Mixed-Media Mosaics: Techniques and Projects Using Polymer Clay Tiles, Beads & Other Embellishments 35 reviews Laurie Mika
North Light Books, 2007
No cheese! No kitsch! Just good factual help. I was very pleased with this book and so was my husband. Very interesting to read, lots of helpful information, and not cutesy girly stuff either. My husband took up mosaics and was really disgusted with the painfully cheap designs and projects in most of the mosaic books, much less the obscure directions. You could put this book in the category of home remodeling or fine arts, and it would ...
