The night before Halloween 13 reviews Natasha Wing
Scholastic Inc, 2001
Cute Twist on an Old Favorite I read this aloud to a class of first graders and they enjoyed the fun ryhming text and colorful illustrations. They were familiar with the similar Christmas story, so were interested in seeing how the Halloween version would play out. My very young grandson loves the story and pictures, too!

Before Women Had Wings 65 reviews Connie May Fowler
Ivy Books, 1999
A Great Book That Teaches No, this book isn't the easiest thing in the world to read. You find yourself wincing at the abusive language & physical violence these characters all endure. Yet, something shines below the surface in this story. Granted, you may have to get a shovel & start digging for it, but all the better. I love reading a novel that teaches me something. Well, this one taught me to always be true to ...

GREAT BOOK.... My 4 year old daughter (preschool age) LOVES this book! She asks to read it over and over! Everyone has to bring in 100 "somethings" to school for the 100th day of school celebration. One little boy doesn't know what to bring...he finally decides and what an adventure occurs as a result! It's a great book for school aged, even older preschool kids!

The Night Before The Tooth Fairy (Reading Railroad) 2 reviews Natasha Wing
Grosset & Dunlap, 2003
Colorful and Funny I purchased this book to read to my 5 year old after learning that her bottom tooth was loose. I wanted to find a book that would prepare her for the Tooth Fairy. This book was a big hit and perfect choice for my daughter! She, and even my 3 year old, loved the rhyming and funny story lines, as well as the bright colors. I think this book should be a classic for welcoming the Tooth Fairy!

Before Wings 3 reviews Beth Goobie
Turtleback Books Distributed by Demco Media, 2002
Magical, mystery tour Adrien is a wonderful heroine. She is both loyal and willing to stand up for herself even when those trying to lead her down a dangerous path are older. At the same time, her near-death experience with a brain aneurysm makes her cynical and antisocial. She deserves the nickname "Grouch". Adrien meets Paul, another camp staffer whose intensity keeps others away. The relationship that ...

Night Before The Night Before Christmas (Reading Railroad Books) 8 reviews Natasha Wing
Topeka Bindery, 2002
Cute and Clever This twist on Clement C. Moore's Christmas poem is one that parents can really identify with! It's about all the things that can and will go wrong during Christmas preparations, like burnt cookies. Yet the spirit of the holiday wins out. My daughter really likes this book and I think it is a pleasure to read to her. I don't agree with the editorial review that it, "...scans awkwardly and does ...

The Night Before First Grade 7 reviews Natasha Wing
Topeka Bindery, 2005
The Night Before First Grade Excellent! I was a little skeptical at first, but this book is wonderful. My 6 year old has read the book on her own and the illustrations were very helpful to assist her in identifying some new words on the page.
She has enjoyed the book so much that she has decided to include the book in her summer book report reading list. It is just the correct length for a child entering first grade. ...
