Beginning and Intermediate Algebra: An Integrated Approach (with CD-ROM, BCA/iLrn? Tutorial, and InfoTrac®) 1 review R. David Gustafson, Peter D. Frisk
Brooks Cole, 2004
Where's the Errata The content of the book is ok. But if you are unfamiliar with the subject and need the answers in the back of the book to check your work, you will just end up frustrated and confused. So far I estimate 30% of the answers in the back of the book are wrong and there is no errata listed for the book from the publisher.

A-Plus Notes for Beginning Algebra: Pre-Algebra and Algebra 1 7 reviews Rong Yang
A-Plus Notes Learning Center, 2006
Most excellent book for my middle school boy Each chapter starts with very helpful concise summary with good examples and are followed by many good exercises. This book is much better than other books. This is much better than many of school math books which are very thick and lengthy, but may not be really helpful.

Beginning and Intermediate Algebra, 2e, by Messersmith is the first text in a series of future offerings in developmental mathematics. Worry free service Not too long after getting the confirmation that my payment went through ok, I got an email from Raerae313 letting me know that she would be shipping out the book I ordered. Not many sellers will let you know if they ever received payment for it. You are left worrying until the book finally shows up at your door step. It was a great experience and I received her book long before any of the ...

Beginning Algebra: A Text/Workbook (with Digital Video Companion and CengageNOW Printed Access Card) 3 reviews Charles P. McKeague
Brooks Cole, 2006
Finally, I Understand Algebra! Algebra has never come easy. I do not think it is meant to be so. After using the above textbook in at a community college Elementary Algebra class I now have a clearer understanding of algebraic functions. The textbook at first appears to have excessive practice problems, but these worked out for my benefit as I worked every single one of them. Remember, "practice makes perfect" and the more ...

Defending this book!!!!! I was taking begining algebra for the second time this semester. I love this book. In the bookstore, it came bundled with the solution manual and the CDROM lecture series which are a must for anyone that struggles with math or misses a lot of class. I missed a month of class last semester and this semester. What made the difference in being able to pass this semester is this book, the ...

Beginning Algebra 2 reviews Donald Hutchison
McGraw-Hill, 2006
The total revision of chapter 5, improves the 4th Edition. The complete revision of Chapter 5, Factoring Polynomials greatly enhances the students ability to understand factoring by grouping. It is a far easier process than the trial and error in previous editions. The graphics are also greatly improved, but the visibility of the check yourself exercises, found in the chapters, has been absurdly diminished! -1 star for that error in judgement!

great asset to math learning this book is a great asset to learning how the math problems in the text book are formulated. While textbooks give the answers in the back, this book actually has the problems worked out. Made understanding math possible after leaving the classroom and wondering what the instructor said.
