Contemplating Your Bellybutton (My Body Science) 7 reviews Jun Nanao
Kane/Miller Book Publishers, 1995
A Wonderful Book! My two year old daughter *loves* this book - she'd have me read it 20 times a day if I were willing. This is a great book for explaining pregnancy and birth to a small child. I also love the fact that it portrays the mom giving birth in what appears to be an upright [squating perhaps] position - very nice. [You see mom's breasts, but nothing indiscreet or too graphic.] It also shows mom ...

The Boy Who Lost His Bellybutton 3 reviews Jeanne Willis
Andersen Press, 2008
The Boy Who Lost His Belly Button This was one of the best childrens books that I have read in quite a while. The illustrations were well done and the wording was done in a fashion that younger children were able to follow quite closely, which some books fail to do. I work at a library and the children that I read it to were quite taken with it.

Into Thick Air: Biking to the Bellybutton of Six Continents 3 reviews Jim Malusa

Unforgettable Adventures On the surface, "Into Thick Air" appears to be an interesting book about a guy who rides his bike to the lowest points on earth, writing descriptions of what he observes along the way. But, only a few pages into the book you suddenly realize that this book mines much deeper ore. This is a book where you can glean keen insights into the human condition and learn things that could completely ...

We've All Got Bellybuttons! 4 reviews David Martin
Candlewick, 2005
from SherriAllen.com "We've All Got Bellybuttons!," written by David Martin and illustrated by Randy Cecil, is a picturebook that does more than just tell a story. It invites your young child to have fun with the characters. There are body parts to be identified, motions to be performed and, best of all, lots and lots of giggles.
The elephants start the fun with "We've got ears, and you do too. We can pull ...

Honeymoon For Three 4 reviews Alan Cook
AuthorHouse, 2007
3 Cheers for Honeymoon for 3 I was captivated from page 1. I'll never think about belly buttons the same way again. Cook really got into that obsessed killer's mind and portrayed him very believably. The buildup to the ending kept me reading with my breath held. My interest was sustained throughout. Al Cook is an excellent writer with a masterful touch for the mystery genre.

What Is a Bellybutton?: First Questions and Answers About the Human Body (First Questions and Answers) 2 reviews Time-Life Books
Time-Life Books, 1993
Kinah's Mom I read some of the pages of this book to my three-year daughter on last night. We are working on minor body parts (wrists, ankle, heel, thigh, under arms, etc.,). We sang: The Five Senses Song; Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes; Dem Bones, Dem Bones. We did the nursery rhyme, "Where is Thumbkin" --- traced her hand on paper and pointed to body parts on her doll. This book is great addition! I'm ...
