Belmont Revisited: Ethical Principles for Research with Human Subjects 1 review
Georgetown University Press, 2005
Great experience Book in condition described, prompt shipping, perfect experience. This is a very large book and the seller needed to charge more for shipping than for a normal book, but was courteous enough to email me w/ the details and make sure that it was okay to do that before shipping.

A Death in Belmont (P.S.) 120 reviews Sebastian Junger
Harper Perennial, 2007
Could not put it down. I could not put the book down, I was mesmerized from start to finish. How this man who wrote a famous and great tragic story was himself a part of such a larger-than-life infamous time frame and proximity. I highly recommend this story.

A Picture of Freedom: The Diary of Clotee, a Slave Girl, Belmont Plantation, Virginia 1859 (Dear America ... 61 reviews Patricia C. McKissack
Scholastic Inc., 1997
A testament to a young slave's tenacity in hard times Though the Dear America series of books [written in diary form] are works of historical fiction, the times they are set in are very real, and the way the series is written enables readers to gain insights into the lives of the young protagonists.
In "A Picture of Freedom", 12-year-old Clotee is a slave who lives on the Belmont Plantation in 1859 Virginia. She may be a slave with no personal ...

Bull Halsey 8 reviews Elmer Belmont Potter
US Naval Institute Press, 2003
Another masterpiece! In keeping with Professor Potter's work about Admiral Nimitz, this, IMHO, is the definitive work about one of the most controversial admirals in naval history. I consider this book as a THE reference work about Halsey.

Castlevania: The Belmont Legacy (Castlevania) 4 reviews Marc Andreyko, E.J. Su
IDW Publishing, 2005
A Decent Addition to You Comic Book Collection This is a full color comic book 120 pages long about the Caslevania game staring Christopher Belmont. The art is well done and the coloring is decent. The story itself is a bit short and could have been fleshed out a bit more. If your not a Castlevania fan I recommend you look at the book before you buy it. If you are a Castlevania fan, odds are that you'll probably get a kick out off it.

Little Italy of the Bronx Book: Belmont & Arthur Avenue 1 review
Back in The Bronx, 2002
Like Going Home Having grown up in Litle Italy of the Bronx in the 50's & 60's, I eagerly bought this book. It consists of mainly photographs of the area from the 40's through the 60's with a lot of family stories and history of the area. Included are several charming drawings centered around life in this neighborhood. Almost every picture brought a flood of memories of a place & time that no longer exists. I ...

Under Observation 1 review Lisa Berger
Houghton Mifflin, 1994
If your into mental health This is a book that I find hard to put down. Although the cases are tweeked for privacy reasons, it is different from the mental health setting in today's society. This book is not for clinical purposes, but to get an understanding of mental health at McLean psychiatric hospital.

A Death in Belmont, CD 3 reviews Sebastian Junger
HarperAudio, 2006
Best Audiobook Ever To me, A Death in Belmont has the best combination of story and production I've ever experienced in an audiobook. I've listened to at least a hundred different literary works on CD over the years - most of them non-fiction like this - and none can compare. I was thrilled and chilled throughout. No matter what else I had to do, I was always wanting to get back in the car so I could hear more.

Great resource for help in identifying fungi GREAT source for the Mycologist or student faced with the difficult task of correctly ID'ing fungi. MUCH better than many other texts reccomended for the same purpose.

Marilyn Monroe and the Camera 6 reviews Georges Belmont
Schirmer/Mosel, 2007
Good place to start for Marilyn photos. One of the first Marilyn books I got was a compilation of photographs from well-known photographers. It wasn't till later that I got the original primary sources, i.e. books by Eve Arnold, and collections by Bernard Bruno and Bert Stern. So once one gets this collection, one can decide which photographer captured Marilyn's beauty the best, be it Milton Greene, Bernard Bruno, Richard Avedon, Ed ...

Belmont Park: A Century of Champions 2 reviews Richard Stone
Eclipse Press, 2005
Very nice book, with flaws This is a very good value for the (Amazon.com) price. It is a quality production, but it is flawed slightly. Richard Stone Reeves is one of the Greats in the history of Thoroughbred portraiture, without question. However, his recent works are sketchy, lacking in detail, and seem unfinished. Several of the plates betray the fact that that Reeves is either no longer concerned with perfection, or is ...

The First Year of Greek 4 reviews James Turney Allen
Star Publishing Company (Belmont, CA), 1994
Comprehensive beginning text This text has several advantages over more recent beginning Greek textbooks. First, it was written to be used at either high-school or college level. Second, it was written before the "Biblical Greek" and "Attic Greek" divorce. If your primary goal is to read the Greek New Testament but you want to base that further study (using say Zerwick's Biblical Greek) on a broad basic study of classical ...

The Boy Next Door 20 reviews Gretchen Brinck
Pinnacle, 1999
Very Good I bought this book because of it's great reviews by the readers below. And they were right! This was one of those hard to put down books. It is a great book for reference and a good addition to a true crime library; But what distinguishes this book is it makes it personal. It speaks of the victims and their families and actually gives them (the victims) a face and a personality. It is most ...
