How to Read the Bible for All It's Worth 88 reviews Gordon D. Fee, Douglas Stuart
Zondervan, 2003
Too good not to have a copy The title says it all. If you want to read the Bible for all its worth, you, not only read the book, but have to have your own copy. I borrowed the book from the library and started digging into it. There were many valuable Bible verses provided to illustrate and support the important points of the author's view. In order to gain the most from the book, I would need to go through all of these ...

Temple At The Center Of Time: Newton's Bible Codex Finally Deciphered and the Year 2012 David Flynn
Official Disclosure, 2008
A belief that the ancients held unusual scientific knowledge, of which only fragments remain today, was held by many great philosophers and scientists who participated in the "scientific revolution". Though research by these men led to great discovery, many were convinced that they were merely scratching the surface of an immense but lost pristine knowledge (prisca sapientia) somehow reflected in the architecture and remains of ancient ...

Blue Like Jazz: Nonreligious Thoughts on Christian Spirituality 448 reviews Donald Miller
Thomas Nelson, 2003
Blue Like Jazz This is a book well worth reading. It is appropriate for late teens and early twenties since it covers life in a university. It has a great spiritual depth and we have used is as the basis of study in a small group of men. I recommend it highly.

St. Paul: Jubilee Year of the Apostle Paul Edition: A Bible Study for Catholics 3 reviews Mitch Pacwa
Our Sunday Visitor, 2008
Paul's letters: the oldest documents of the Catholic faith Father Pacwa is a biblical scholar of remarkable depth, but he's also a preacher who can communicate to ordinary people. He has produced something remarkable here: a profound synthesis of St. Paul's thinking on a variety of subjects, but in a form that's digestible for parish groups and home Bible studies. His special focus is the Church's sacraments, but he also touches upon other doctrinal, ...

The King James Bible (with book and chapter navigation) 6 reviews
Diana Mecum DianaDoesIt.com, 2008
Fantastic Navigation Feature! This was one of the easiest books to navigate through that I have ever seen because it emulates the hardcopy. In fact, it's better because I don't have to keep paging and paging to get to where I want to read. Instead, each chapter or individual book is just a click away. This decreases my frustration which increases my enjoyment. Thank you, it's fantastic.

Stepping Up: A Journey Through the Psalms of Ascent, Member Book 14 reviews Beth Moore
LifeWay Christian Resources, 2007
Stepping Up: A Journey Through The Psalms of Ascent This was my first bible study and I thought it was great. Easy to follow and kept me hungry for more. I recommend it - the video is nice, but not necessary. I took the study through my church and found the quiet time study on my own plus discussion later in my group were enough. The video only added more insight into Beth's take on the three feasts.

Epicenter: Why Current Rumblings in the Middle East Will Change Your Future 178 reviews Joel C. Rosenberg
Tyndale House Publishers, 2006
Ignoring what this writer says in "Epicenter" would be stupid....... Joel Rosenberg has the credentials, experience, and knowledge to discuss the scary, but real implications in "Epicenter". All of the sources used by Rosenberg are sound and responsible, and include his own personal knowledge. One of these sources is the Holy Bible; completely vetted and historically accurate. Most people would "sniff" at this, however, that's only because they have never taken ...

The Poisonwood Bible: A Novel (P.S.) 1411 reviews Barbara Kingsolver
Harper Perennial Modern Classics, 2005
I can't say enough good things about this novel I love the Poisonwood Bible. It's easily on my list of favorite books. It's a heartwrenching story of the disintegration and survival of a family. Kingsolver rotates the pov through the four daughters and you learn to love them all, even the shallow Rachel. And that takes a great deal of skill to turn a character like Rachel into an interesting and lovable person. Even the chapters told from Ruth ...

Basics of Biblical Greek Grammar 71 reviews William D. Mounce
Zondervan, 2003
Best Grammar I have seen This is the best grammar I have used in my 18 years in the ministry. I have tutored Greek students on occasion and have found this grammar to be the best grammar available. The "inductive" approach is very easy to follow. I highly recommend this grammar as a primary to anyone reviewing their Greek (or secondary grammar to any student) who wants a clear overview of Koine Greek. I use it as ...
