THE Book to D.I.Y. or Smarten Up.
This book showed me EXACTLY WHAT TO DO. Let me start by saying that I don't work for the author, he doesn't work for me, he doesn't owe me any money, and I haven't invested in any of his companies. Onward: this book shows you exactly how to produce your own ethanol or buy it at the pump and switch your vehicles from OIL..also known as gasoline. After reading the book, I know how to ...

The Romantic Male Nude

Beautiful photography of beautiful men
The Romantic Male Nude is pretty much what the name implies, with about 200 photographs from 41 different photographers of men in various poses. Other than the brief forwards at the beginning of the book and the photographer credits at the end, there is little other writing, and the book stands purely on the beautiful images contained within. The photos are broken into several main categories ...

If you plan on passing the chemistry SAT II, buy this book
This was the best investment I ever made in buying a book to help me study for an important test such as the SAT II. This book goes step by step through the vast world of chemistry and condenses the material into simple concepts. Not only that but Thomas A. Evangelist makes several analogies to everyday life that allow for a more thorough understanding of chemistry on the whole. It also includes ...

Alicia has done it again!
I've been an artisian soaper for over seven years. I found this book wonderful! Very well written with up-to-date 21st century information. The essential oil section is especially useful for knowing which essential oils that "come through" in cold process or hot process soap. I had to learn most of this the hard way through trial and error, and spending alot of money on research. There ...

The Most Connon typ of Construction
Now in it's sixth edition, this book has become the standard text on the design and construction of buildings made of wood. While most wooden structures are residences, the book also covers multi story wooden structures such as apartment houses, commercial buildings with wooden roofs, and to a limited extent newer techniques such as glue-laminate beams. The book is suitable for use either as a ...

Fascinating! Delightful!
Essence & Alchemy was a really wonderful adventure in reading. From the history of perfume to the process, old and new, involved in extracting essences, to the follow-along steps to creating your own perfume, I found this book to be entertaining and informative from the first page to the last. The comparison between perfumery and alchemy was insightful. The illustrations were charming and fun. ...

A SPLENDID BOOK
This book is not only visually stunning, it is also a fascinating read. This is the first time that these beautiful and unusual fabrics have been given their due recognition both as designs and as an important part of Russian/Soviet history.

Darwin's fantasy.
Excellent book. Not for the faint of heart and has some very technical reading. As I continue my research of creationism vs. evolution it's incredible how our schools continue to teach the wrong history with the mountains of obvious evidence against evolution and the non-existent evidence supporting evolution. A great read!

This is so funny
Check out what that kid wrote on October 25, 1999. He gave the book one star. Someone find him and tell him how much of an idiot he is. He wrote the dumbest thing I have ever seen. Who the hell reads Perry's cover to cover. Is he really that dumb just go buy a book about making bombs if you want to "make bombs". Another thing any normal person would realize after the first million pages is ...

I have enjoyed and employed this book since the eighties
This book is spot-on accurate. I grew up in an exclusive area full of well-to-do people and long-time "well-bred" families. The information in here may seem outdated at times but it is still the right info if you want to make it big-time. There are people and companies that still follow these styles. If you just want to do-alright or be happy in an average job, this book will make you shine ...

Must have for PV engineers and PEs
Good layout. Easier to use than Sec VIII. I carry it into the field and refer to it 10x as much as Sec VIII. The non-code stuff is also nice and handy (pipe charts, stiffener sizing, square tanks). I would recommend over any other PV book I have seen in the last 10 years.

Terrific study of the history of cochineal trafficking
This book is one of the very best I have seen in a long time. The author has taken great care to present historically correct and detailed information about the long history of cochineal farming, and sale of this commodity (dried beetles that can be processed to create a brilliant hue of red). She reveals all of the intrigue of Spain's royalty, as they sought to keep this much prized product of ...

This book is a great buy!
I'll start off by saying I keep picking up this book over and over. The Troubleshooting chapter is so detailed. It covers nearly every problem I have ever had with an airbrush. I have other airbrush books and none of them have this much "fix it" info. That one chapter has saved me so much time and stress. The rest of the book is great also. One of the learning chapters has a really fun exercise ...

great book for learning refrigeration
as a homeowner considering central air and seeing how idiot contractors screw people firsthand, I wanted to learn as much as I could about refrigeration and HVAC before hiring anybody. This book is great, from a design and selection standpoint on refrigeration all the way to installation and maintenance practices. I couldn't resist writing this. The ad hominem abusive, straw man, slippery slope and other fallacies running rampant in some of the other reviews are just ridiculous! First off, comparing insulin to brain chemistry is not a logical argument!
