CompTIA A+ Certification All-In-One Desk Reference For Dummies (For Dummies (Computer/Tech)) 19 reviews Glen E. Clarke, Ed Tetz
For Dummies, 2007
A+ for Dummies I have just got my A+ Certification and I think that this book was much more informative than both books that came with my class. If you want more in depth instruction, this would definately be a good choice.I told the other people in my class about the book and most said that they would get the book also.

Review for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork Certification (LWW Massage Therapy & Bodywork Series) 29 reviews Joseph Ashton, Duke Cassel
Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, 2002
NCTMB Reveiw This is the PERFECT book to use for review/studying for the National test. I would recommend spending time looking up more info on the five element theory and the Chakras other than that there is nothing more needed and the free website was a great help. I passed the first time.!

A+ Certification All-in-One Exam Guide, Sixth Edition (A+ Certification All in One Exam) 125 reviews Michael Meyers
McGraw-Hill Osborne Media, 2006
Great book, very good to pass the exams I just needed the A+ certification ASAP. I took 220-601 (Essentials) and 220-602 (IT Technician) and the book was a good help. My score was 710 and 800, just good enough to be certified. The sixth edition is updated and covers all I needed to pass.
Also bought the vouchers with practice exams from Meyers and many questions were pretty similar.
I studied the material, reading 3 or 4 hours a ...

CCNA Official Exam Certification Library (CCNA Exam 640-802) (Exam Certification Guide) 27 reviews Wendell Odom
Cisco Press, 2007
Thorough Coverage of CCNA Topics, and a Great Value I'm a full time instructor of Cisco courses and a CCIE. My students sometimes ask for book recommendations for further study and review. So, I hope that this review of Wendell Odom's "CCNA Official Exam Certification Library, Third Edition" will provide some insight for CCENT and/or CCNA candidates considering the purchase of this library. Following are my observations:
- The "library" ...

CompTIA A+ Complete Certification Kit 13 reviews Quentin Docter, Emmett Dulaney, ...
Sybex, 2007
Helped me Pass These books do a good job of covering the basics of what you need to know for the exams. Keep in mind, they do not contain 100% of the knowledge you need to become certified, but no study guide can. Overall, the books are well written and entertaining and helped me become A+ certified.

MySQL 5.0 Certification Study Guide (MySQL Press) 12 reviews Paul DuBois, Stefan Hinz, ...
MySQL Press, 2005
Read It thoroughly and ur certified Well I've been using Mysql for the last 5 years now and got to say that I already had pretty good hold on it. But through this book I came across numerous interesting things that I was unaware of and no prizes for guessing that I cleared the exam with ease. The book has each and every detail of topics that are asked in the exam and hence is a must for anyone looking to give the exam

SCJP Sun Certified Programmer for Java 5 Study Guide (Exam 310-055) (Certification Press Study Guides) 275 reviews Katherine Sierra, Bert Bates
McGraw-Hill Osborne Media, 2005
SCJP Sun Certified Programmer for Java 5 Study Guide (Exam 310-055) Knowing and working with Java since a while the stuff is not really new to me. However I was afraid to see how many of the test questions I answered only correct in part, or simply wrong. In fact never due to missing knowledge but by falling into the pitfalls of those twisted questions or over reading hidden details in questions with apparently so obvious answers! (I had much less problems to ...

SAS Certification Prep Guide: Base Programming for SAS 9 7 reviews SAS Publishing
SAS Publishing, 2006
Excellent prep for test with programming I and II The most notable attribute of the SAS Prep Guide is that it contains a lot of information not included in the two programming classes that I've taken from the SAS Institute (Base Programming I and II). The classes were great, but the book adds even more material (and if it's on the test, I want to know about it!). The book is thorough, over 750 pages of material and includes about 10 questions at ...

Family Nurse Practitioner Certification Prep Exams 15 reviews Amelie Hollier, Mari J. Wirfs

Great resource for studying! I used this book of exam questions and explanations from cover to cover along with the Margaret Fitzpatrick NP Study Review Course for a month prior to taking the AANP exam. I passed and felt I learned so much through this process. This book could probably be a little more current, yet I found so much information that certainly doesn't change from year to year with practice theory, assessment, ...

CCNP Official Exam Certification Library (5th Edition) (Official Exam Certification) 13 reviews Brent Stewart, Dave Huucaby, ...
Cisco Press, 2007
Very Helpful Books The Cisco Exam Certification books by Cisco Press are the only books that I use when studying for the exam. The "Do I know this already" questions help you gauge how much time you need to spend on any given chapter and the practice tests included on the CDs are very similar to test questions. I have yet to fail a test using this method *knocks on wood*.

SAS Certification Prep Guide: Advanced Programming for SAS 9 1 review SAS Publishing
SAS Publishing, 2007
a terrible book There are some half-printed pages. I have to guess when I read. The worst thing is that one half-printed page is for a quiz, so I couldn't do the practice quiz.
If I return it, who will pay the postage? and it will take at least 10 days I can get another one. But I need the book urgently.
What should I do now?

UML 2 Certification Guide: Fundamental & Intermediate Exams (The MK/OMG Press) 7 reviews Tim Weilkiens, Bernd Oestereich

Instrumental in preparing for my certification Before buying this book, I had no doubt that it would be instrumental in passing my certification exams. I did pass the the Fundamental exam in the first try itself and I don't believe I would've been able to do so if I had not laid hands on this material. Neither do I think there's a book out there that covers UML with the level of detail as this one does. After all, this guide is published by ...
