Great work...
This book is truly a great one as C.J. Mahaney brings it all back to the cross. A lot of this book includes previous works, "The Cross Centered Life" and "Christ Our Mediator." I also had just listened to C.J.'s sermon from the 2005 Resolved Conference called "Interrogating the Legalist Within" so most of this was review. But if you have yet to read or listen to these, please pick this little ...

AMAZING!
I love this book! It is by far the best book I have ever read on preaching, Chapell explains expository preaching in a light that few authors can. He puts all of the focus on Christ and how the audience needs to hear about Jesus. If you are looking for a book to revive your preaching look no further.

Just what our culture needs - and then some!
I am Founder of Blessing God's Way - a ministry that focuses on the blessing of children as well as our other God-given cycles... and I have sold Mrs. Townsend's book for the last 4 years when I do confernces and hold birth related meetings. This book was so helpful to me, personally, with my 5th pregnancy and delivery - I am so grateful for her constant advice to take my thoughts captive and ...

Excellent book and essential to new and older marriages!
I read this book several years ago before I married my husband and I would recommend it to anyone that is getting married or is currently married. This book has helped me to understand my partner as well as my faith and I believe that it is essential! There are many wonderful examples of real life problems that many married people face and it helps to know you are not alone. I have ...

Simply the Best of the Better
The path to holiness is not a primrose path. It is a daily battle, a daily carrying of the cross. Prayer, especially in the form of intimate daily conversations with Christ is sadly one of the most neglected weapons available to us in this battle. The Better Part equips Christians with the resources they need to, "set of into the deep" to enter into a personal, intimate conversation with ...

Attempts to integrate psychology and theology
Christ Centered Therapy by Anderson, Zuehlke, and Zuehlke attempts to integrate psychology and theology into a wholistic counseling approach. The authors explain that all counseling operates from either a Christian or an alternative spiritual worldview. The belief that it is possible to treat persons psychologically in a values-neutral manner is a myth. No therapist is values neutral. Values ...

Introduction to Coaching For Christian Leaders
Linda Miller and Chad Hall have produced a helpful introduction to Christian coaching. The strength of the book lies in its balance of explaining coaching skills, benefits, and uses of coaching in Christian ministry. The "how to" section is roughly half the book (70 pages). These chapters introduce 8 basic coaching skills, with Listening and Asking Precise Questions getting the most coverage. ...

Meeting Jesus
In Christ Alone: Living the Gospel Centered Life by Sinclair B. Ferguson, published by Reformation Trust (Lake Mary, FL: 2007), is a collection of articles originally published in Table talk and Eternity Magazine. The central theme of these articles is, obviously, our Lord Jesus Christ. I could perhaps title this review as Meeting Christ...Again, because this book introduces us to Jesus all over ...

Wonderful Book
I love yoga and really like this book. While many people who practice yoga also practice an Eastern religion, this book proves that Christians can also enjoy yoga too without compromising their faith. I highly recommend this book to any Christian who is interested in beginning a yoga practice!

Excellent Book on Family Leadership
Pastor and author, John Crotts, demonstrated in his first book "Mighty Men" that he understands male leadership in the family. Crotts appoaches his writing/teaching on the family from a commitment to the inspiration, authority, and sufficiency of Scripture. Many books written on family life begin, continue and end using secular psychological principles. Crotts successfully avoids this and ...
House United, A: How Christ-Centered Unity Can End Church Division
Francis Frangipane
Chosen
, 2006
Few works of the enemy are so destructive, so wrenching to the body of Christ as division in a church congregation. The reasons are many and include ambition, bitterness, and jealousy. Once a wedge is driven into the heart of a church, the congregation and pastor are usually destroyed by bitterness, gossip, rebellion and even hatred. Until now wounded flocks and broken pastors have had little direction for healing. With candor and insight, ...

I am a religious education director who participated in one of these several years ago, so I knew what I was getting. I thought the kit could have been more helpful with instructions on how to buy, make or procure a labyrinth pattern. It was very frustrating to try to decipher the limited amount of instruction in the kit on that part (the labyrinth itself). However! This is an absolutely ...

Great writing, great book!
I read this book accidentally, like many of the other reviewers, after I found it on my shelf (I picked it up at a clearance sale a few months ago). I was pleasantly surprised at Brazo's open journal and intelligent and humorous writing style. This book is inspiring on many levels, as a journal from a worn-out mother of three to God, as the quest of a woman to sanctify her home as the dwelling ...

I spent nearly a year working the 12 steps in this workbook and it changed my life forever. It causes you to examine your thinking and your make up, enabling you to identify your false beliefs and make changes in your life that usher in God's peace.
