Make it better: A guidebook for those responsible for continuously improving things, services, & processes2 reviews
Irving R Stubbs

Irving R. Stubbs, 1991

Authoritative, scholarly work on a focused subject.
I purchased this book in my never ending pursuit of sholarly discourse on Japanese Buddhist sculpture. It is one thing to study sculpture and painting. It is quite another to understand it in the context of history and the architecture that housed it. Enlightening, to say the least, and meaningful reading. Its coverage of Buddhism and Buddhist art in Japan is noteworthy.

Red House : Being a Mostly Accurate Account of New England's Oldest Continuously Lived-in House11 reviews
Sarah Messer, 2005

Outstanding and Riveting Book
This book is beautifully written and in many places, it reads like poetry. Having come from Scituate, Massachusetts myself I know how accurate her descriptions of old houses are (I do not know the author). She has a true feel for the early period of this country and what life was like at that time. Mr. Murena (another reviewer) you are wrong. Ice did actually form in water bowls even in rooms ...

Ronald G Garrett

Books and Open-File Reports [distributor], 1991

The Holocaust: Polish Warnings and World's Unbelief
This multi-faceted book, written by a Polish-Underground messenger, provides a wealth of information. Polish contacts had long been trying to inform the world about the German-Nazi extermination of Jews (p. 173, 274-276), but their warnings fell on deaf ears, even in western Jewish circles. Ignacy Szwarcbart (Szwarzbart), a Jewish member of the Polish government in exile, actually begged Jan ...

The book is designed to be used as part of a seminar for both managers and their subordinates, and the material has been tested on over a thousand people in various seminars. Taming of the C.A.N.D.Y. Monster*: *Continuously Advertised Nutritionally Deficient Yummies (Lansky, Vicki)4 reviews
Vicki Lansky

The Book Peddlers, 1999

Great for kids of all ages!
I've had my copy since it was first published, about 30 years, & just bought a copy for a young mom I know. Really assists in making good food choices regardless of age. My first husband was a real ding-dong addict & this helped to eliminate that, adding in nutritious calories instead of empty ones. A must for every parent, grandparent or those who just want to increase the nutritional value of ...
