The Cosmic Serpent 64 reviews Jeremy Narby
Tarcher, 1999
A Very Interesting Read I sincerely enjoyed reading this book as I could not put it down. This book is roughly 240 pages with eleven chapters. And, it is very easy to read. Narby's "Notes" section at the end of the book is lengthy and informative.
"The Cosmic Serpent" reads more like a novel or a personal journey rather than a scholarly work that one would normally read on the subject. Personally, I was fascinated ...

Cosmic Motors: Spaceships, Cars and Pilots of Another Galaxy 22 reviews
Design Studio Press, 2007
Into a pixel-perfect future Very impressive! I haven't seen future concepts as good as this since I bought a copy of Syd Mead's 'Sentinel' in the late seventies. Interestingly, on page 126, Daniel Simon credits Mead as the inspiration for the staging and vehicle concepts of his work and on page 127 there is a concept car with romantic princess and a tiger on a leash: pure Mead.
Any future fan will love this book. ...

Twenty Thousand Roads: The Ballad of Gram Parsons and His Cosmic American Music 18 reviews David Meyer
Villard, 2008
GRAM PARSONS "TWENTY THOUSAND ROADS" BOOK THIS IS AN EXCELLENT COMPANION TO THE DVD "GRAM PARSONS - FALLEN ANGEL".
IT IS VERY COMPREHESIVE, AND COVERS GRAM'S LIFE FROM CHILDHOOD, THROUHGOUT HIS LIFE AND CAREER. IT COVERS HIS BIRTH IN WINTERHAVEN, FLORIDA (HE WAS BORN TO A WEATHLY SOUTHERN FAMILY WHO OWNED NEARLY HALF OF THE ORANGE GROVES IN FLORIDA). IT COVERS THAT HE MOVED TO WAYCROSS, GEORGIA AS AN EARLY CHILD, AND THE INFLUENCE ...

Cosmic Imagery: Key Images in the History of Science John D. Barrow
W. W. Norton, 2008
A remarkable book tracing the history and influence of nearly two hundred iconic images that changed human conceptions of the universe and our place in it. e live in a visual age, an age of images?iconic, instant, and influential?that have crystallized our conception of the large, the small, and the complex, of both inner and outer space. Some, like Robert Hooke's first microscopic views of the natural world, arose because of new technical ...

Beyond Einstein: The Cosmic Quest for the Theory of the Universe 29 reviews Michio Kaku
Anchor, 1995
Very interesting and within reach of ordinary folks like me... I really liked this book. It found it easier to understand (and less gee-whiz) than Brian Greene's The Elegant Universe (paperback and CD). Kaku and his co-writer presented a very clear description of what hyperspace would look like to four-dimensional creatures such as ourselves. (This was the first clear layman's description I have read.) I only wish I understood better the quantum ...

The Cosmic War: Interplanetary Warfare, Modern Physics and Ancient Texts 14 reviews Joseph P. Farrell
Adventures Unlimited Press, 2007
I'm glad I read it I couldn't put this book down. I didn't notice anything written in The Cosmic War that contradicted the Bible, and also it expounds on consepts that most Pastors wouldn't bother to put out there because the information isn't considered foundational. Someone I mentioned this book to told me that the information distracts from the Gospel's message and would only confuse people, I disagree. Faith ...

Cosmic Christmas 26 reviews Max Lucado

A Wonderful Christmas Story I always imagined Jesus' birth as a peaceful event, lambs lowing, all's right with the world. This book opened my eyes to other possibilities and it's probably much closer to the truth.

Death by Black Hole: And Other Cosmic Quandaries 67 reviews Neil deGrasse Tyson
W. W. Norton, 2007
Gould for the Common Man? Neil deGrasse Tyson is the current director of the hayden Planetarium and an astrophysicist with the American Museum of Natural History. His picture shows a portly African-American with a wry smile, wearing a vest with astonomical figures perhaps cut from a wizard's robe discarded by Hogwarts. Most likely half of America knows better what he looks and sounds like than I do, since he appears ...

Cosmic Trigger I : Final Secret of the Illuminati (Cosmic Trigger) 52 reviews Robert A. Wilson
New Falcon Publications, 1991
Final Secrets "Cosmic Trigger" is worth reading both for its historical value and its relevance today. Many of the important figures of the 60's and 70's, like Tim Leary, J Edgar Hoover and Robert A Wilson, are dead and gone, but the problems they represented are still with us. Permit me to quote one paragraph:
"Paul Watzlavik, among others, has performed classic experiments in which totally sane people ...

Cosmic Perspective, The (5th Edition) 10 reviews Jeffrey O. Bennett, Megan Donahue, ...
Benjamin Cummings, 2007
Superby written There could not be a more well written book covering every aspect of basic astronomy. No detail has been overlooked and the language is precisely clear. As one progresses through the text, it unwinds like a well written novel, with the only difference being that it is all actual fact and not fiction. Well done!

The Mystic Path to Cosmic Power 8 reviews Vernon Howard
New Life Foundation, 2004
Marvelous book Marvelous book with a hokey title. The information on
relationships in this book can, if applied, help transform your
life to the good - permanently. It's compatible with all
religious and spiritual traditions. I've been recommending this
and other Vernon Howard books such as 50 Ways to See Thru
People, for nearly 30 years now. They are a "must" for
everyone who wants to learn to see ...

Cosmic Love: Secrets of the Astrology of Intimacy Revealed 3 reviews Jan Spiller
Bantam, 2007
Finally, the Nodes give up their wisdom... This book is so good that I can't understand why no one has reviewed it. Finally, Western wisdom conquers the Nodes - this may be the first book that matches what Vedic astrology offers on the Nodes. Astrology for the Soul established her reputation in the field, but Cosmic Love is a culminating work that will eventually get as much if not more use among astrologers.
The author does a ...

Bear & Company, 2006
Enlightening, with powerful implications In brief, the authors' thesis is this: 41,000 years ago, a Supernova (Geminga) exploded, in the cosmic vicinity of Earth. On at least three separate occasions, this event had significiant influence on the lives of creatures on this planet. 1.) The radiation from the Supernova killed or mutate species in Australia and southeast Asia. 2.) About 7,000 years later, the shockwave material began to ...

A Magnificent Story for All Ages Our family loves this series. We are not a religious family but we do find awe and wonder in the natural world. This book and its two sequels do a fantastic job of transforming complex events and advanced scientific terms into an understandable, inspiring account of evolution through the use of storytelling.
