Count Your Blessings (Harlequin American Romance, No 461)1 review
Kathy Clark

Harlequin, 1992

This Romance Book is Written By Kathy Clark!
Count Your Blessings is an Harlequin Romance book and it is great and is written by Kathy Clark but on this web page they have mistakenly written that it was written by famous mystery author Mary Higgins Clark . I could be wrong but I seriously doubt that famous mystery writter Mary Higgins Clark has ever wrote romance books for Harlequin and I would have to assume that Mary Higgins Clark and ...

Count Your Way Through Mexico (Count Your Way)1 review
James Haskins

Carolrhoda Books, 1989

Think before you buy
I purchased this book to expose my Pre-K students to the numbers 1 through 10, and I was disappointed that it's out of their league. The text is really for 7 or 8 year olds. Also, be forwarned that the number six refers to Los Ninos Heroes (Boy War Heroes who were killed by a U.S. invasion). The accompanying illustration depicts the boys fighting, firing rifles, and one boy is ...

Count Down Your Age3 reviews
Frederic J. Vagnini, David Bunnell

McGraw-Hill, 2007

Practical, comprehensive, and inspiring; not an ordinary diet and exercise book
"Count Down Your Age" takes a personalized and wholistic view of health, from an everyday perspective. First, there's the "antiaging test" in the beginning of the book [...] Then the book offers thoroughly researched and practical plans on lifestyle, nutrition, exercise and medical care. The plans speak to both vegetarians and nonvegetarians. For me, the most difficult part of the diet ...

Count Your Way Through Iran (Count Your Way)1 review
James Haskins, Kathleen Benson

Millbrook Press, 2006

Another sad example of poor research
Here's another example of poor research (for a 2007 book) along with, to be fair, beautiful art that unfortunately doesn't even represent the landscape of Iran (i.e. Palm trees!) Even the cover view could be from an Iran of the 1910's. Come on: even some of the numbers are mispronounced! What a shame....and what a mediocrity in the age of information superhighway.

Count Your Way Through the Arab World (Count Your Way)1 review
James Haskins, Dana Gustafson

Carolrhoda Books Inc., 1987

Count Your Way Through the mind of the writer of Arab World
The book was a disappointment to my kids and me. The book focused on very unrealistic pictures of the Arab ways. The book didn't count through the 24 countries but focused on the writer imagination of what the Arab world like. Sands, Camels, desert and market the Arab world is a modern beautiful cities. There were no Arabic words through out the book to let the kids learn basic greetings. My ...

Your Money Counts16 reviews
Jr., Howard L. Dayton

Tyndale House Publishers, 1997

Informative and Enjoyable
This is a fantastic book. It's easy and enjoyable to read. It tells you all those common sense things about money that we often lose sight of in this world's culture of materialism and 'gotta have it now' attitudes. I've read it multiple times and it just keeps driving home those truths you need to be reminded of like figuring out contentment, the value to giving and saving, etc.

Count Your Blessings: The Healing Power of Gratitude and Love16 reviews
John F. Demartini

Hay House, 2006

You need this
If you think you would get alot out of this book get it soon, if you think it isnt anything you would be interested in BUY IT NOW. This is one book that I can honestly say that if I had it years ago many of my recent lessons would either have not had to happen or in the case of the tragedies they would have been handled far better and with less guilt. Dr Demartini is a Genius and he honestly does ...

Count Your Way Through Japan (Count Your Way)2 reviews
James Haskins

Carolrhoda Books, 1988

I *really* wanted to love this book...
I bought this book to help teach my students (grades 1 and 2) and my kids about Japan, a country my husband and I lived in for 3 years. While its premise is great: teaching the numbers 1-10, using elements of Japanese culture, there are several jarring inaccuracies, which greatly cut into my ability to enjoy the book. #1 -- While teaching the number one, the author refers to "Fujiyama" or ...

Make Your Contacts Count: Networking Know How for Cash, Clients, and Career Success9 reviews
Anne Baber, Lynne Waymon

AMACOM, 2001

An Essential Contacts Resource
The "people Skills" of management have never been more important. Yet many leaders I coach lack the fundamental skills of leveraging their networks--by building and maintaining appropriate contacts and networks with people in their industry or profession. That's when I recommend MAKE YOUR CONTACTS COUNT. Lynne Waymon and Anne Baber are at the top of their game.

Count Your Way Through Greece (Count Your Way Through)3 reviews
James Haskins, Kathleen Benson

Carolrhoda Books, 1996

It's not "Greek" to me anymore.
The cover and title of the book are inviting. The illustrations in the book are outstanding. It is a fun book for all ages, just not 4-8 year olds. This book is a helpful tool to learning and teaching about Greece. I am using the book in my classroom to help my children and myself learn the numbers in Greek and to learn more about Greece. This is a fun number book that not only helps the reader ...

Count Your Way Through Germany (Count Your Way)2 reviews
James Haskins

Carolrhoda Books, 1990

A wonderful book to introduce German culture!
As a teacher of German in an elementary school, it is always difficult to find appropriate (if any) books to use in the classroom. Although this book is written in English, therefore technically off-limits in my German-only program, it has wonderful cultural ties that can be used at some point in my classes. The pictures, if nothing else, give a lot of information about German culture. This ...

Every Minute Counts: Making Your Math Class Work6 reviews
David R. Johnson

Dale Seymour Publications, 1982

Gives great ideas for how to keep a class efficient
This book is one of the most informative books that I have read addressing how to keep a class on track. It gives ideas for class interaction, homework, quizzes, group work, and others. I have found his ideas very helpful, this being my first year of teaching. There are also two more books that follow.

MAKE YOUR VOTE COUNT: What the Bible Says About 25 Key Political Issues2 reviews
Strang Staff

Frontline, 2008

false advertising
The title of this book is incredibly misleading. "What the Bibles Says" is a complete falsehood. This is a right-wing fundamentalist view that has nothing to do with the Bible. The Bible is quoted in support for one issue and then that verse is forgotten on another issue. In chapter one, the author states that Christ came to bring life- which is Biblical and one of the greatest points of the ...
