The notation for a half and a whole rest has been reversed in some of the text. The explanation for sub-dividing the beats is clear in many of the examples but fuzzy in some. On the positive side, there are many fun exercises (if you like counting beats and rests).

What a delightful book!
My 7-year-old daughter and I discovered this book over the weekend, and it's become a new favorite for us both. We've read it over and over, and that is something that rarely happens these days. We both laughed until our sides ached. Very cleverly written and illustrated. Very Seussian. Excellent book!

I love to read this book with my daughter
The illustrations in 'C is for Curious' have really attracted my daughter's attention, from age 1 to her current age of 17 months. She likes the bright bold illustrations, and each page gets different reactions from her--she giggles at the page titled 'Giggly', and hits the page titled 'Angry'. Beautiful book
Whether your child is a bird lover or not, this is a terrific book. It not only educates about numbers (it's nice to find a counting book that goes past 10!) but teaches so much about our backyard friends as well. Be warned, however, that this book will likely make your child insist on getting a birdfeeder!

Little surprises in One!
I bought this book for my daughter when she was about two years old and she really enjoyed it. The book is colorful, has fun rhymes, and fun things to count in the pictures to help reinforce the concept of numbers as symbols. The little surprise of smaller books found within bigger books was a little treat my daughter truly enjoyed. Well done.
