Flap book heaven
My 2 year-old son loves Maisy and he really loves this book. We've had it for several months now and we still read it almost every night before bed. The colors are wonderful and the book includes opportunities to talk about colors, animals, insects, flowers, shapes and counting.

Should be required reading in medical school
I don't recall when this book was first published, or who first told me about it. But, it definitely improved my outlook on things several decades ago when I was quite ill--not incurably, or terminally, but a grave cost to quality of life, all the same. Reading this, in the early 1980s, I think, was the first time I'd realized that my own attitude could actually make a difference in the ...

Doctor Maisy
If your child loves Maisy books as much as mine does, definitely add this one to your collection! Not only are the pictures colorful and inviting, but it also makes going to the doctor seem fun and exciting! Plus, it's always great to see Maisy and her friends playing different roles and doing fun things! Each page brings delight to my child's eyes!
The Clique Summer Collection #3: Alicia (Clique Series)

Even though ALICIA is the third book in THE CLIQUE SUMMER COLLECTION, I am yet to be bored by the series! Alicia is the character of the Clique who can stand out in a crowd. She goes to spend her summer without her parents in Spain, and she and Nina (who came to OCD in the series and caused a lot of havoc) create a lot of trouble. Alicia finds herself with a job she does not want, to pay for ...
Where Is Maisy?: A Lift-the-Flap Book (Maisy)

Where is Maisy?
ISBN 0763607525 - Lift the flap books, in general, suffer from one flaw - the flaps themselves. If you decide to buy a used copy, it's a good idea to make sure that all the flaps are intact, since they tear off fairly easily. That aside, this book is a great one for little budding readers. The reader is told that Maisy is going to hide (it shows her picture, so you can identify her, in case ...

Loved this Series!
My second grade daughter loved this series! These were books that she would read on her own without having to be encouraged to do so. When she took a break from reading the books, she would use her imagination to play out parts of the stories. There are very few books that she's done that with. My one piece of advice with this series is that the first book (In Aunt Lucy's Kitchen) should be ...

Its Funny
I read this book in my second grade class. This is a funny book. Even Steven likes everything even. Odd Todd likes everything odd. For example, Even Steven would like 8 pancakes and Odd Todd would like 7 pancakes. Even Steven goes through hard work with Odd Todd. Then, Even Steven notices that odd and even are both good. My favorite part was when Odd Todd and Even Steven win their $50 ...

This Books Gives a Priceless Smile
The color and story of Maisy books are just right for a child of a young age. Each page is bright and creative. When reading this book to my nephew, (who is less than 1 year old), and seeing his mother reading it to him, there was something about this particular book that made him smile above any other book read to him. In fact, every Maisy book brought on a smile. Other books didn't make him ...
Maisy's Favorite Animals (Maisy)

tiny, colorful, fun
From my one-and-a-half-yr-old's perspective this book has all the elements of a favorite: it's tiny (about 4x4 inches), illustrated in bright bold colors, and full of animals that he can identify by name. I just wish I'd found it when he was younger -- it seems like the type of book a 6 or 9-month old could enjoy, and I'm afraid its too simple to hold his attention much past 18 months. I'd ...

Sweet and simple bedtime story!
This is a great story for a toddler bedtime; simple, short, sweet, and just interesting enough. It helps me wind down, too! As always, the bold colors, simple text, and realistic topic make this a winner. I love the little details of Maisy putting on her pj's and using the bathroom! Highly recommend!

fun and feminine
My daughter loves these books! They are filled with warm, happy relationships, fun craft projects and girlish adventures she can relate too. Junie B. Jones is a lot of fun, but my daughter is a softer, gentler person, and these gentle books fill her imagination. She loves to imagine herself in the attic with Tess.

Lots of color and smiles and big, black lines... it's MAISY!
Another fun, colorful Maisy book. This volume is an oversized word primer, filled with about 300 words and illustrations (and a bunch of flaps to open, too!) all in Ms. Cousins' bright, blocky style. The words are organized by theme -- on the farm, at the park, etc. -- and while there's nothing really in the plot department, it's as eyecatching as all Maisy books, and sure to enthrall the ...

Great toddler book
In this book Maisy and Charley go grocery shopping. My two year old loves grocery shopping and is fascinated by the book. We read it over and over and over. Actually it is great for me too, because I use it to talk about what kind of foods we can buy at the grocery store. Maisy and Charley buy apples, bananas, yogurt, bread etc... It is a good opportunity to get in a plug for nutritious foods.

Maisy Mania
We were given this book as a hand me down in a bag of about 50 others. This is my 22 month old's favorite of them all and I'm here to buy more Maisy books. She can't wait until the end when Tallulah jumps in the tub so she can say "no no!" Last night I had to read it to her 3 times in a row! She loves it but I need some variety! :)
