This is the cutest book. All the kids just love it, from 1-5 years. You can sing the words to the book to the song "Skip to my lou" There is a cute little white mouse hiding on every page. The kids can't get enough of it!

The Cow Who Fell in the Canal5 reviews
Phyllis Krasilovsky

Yearling, 1993

A Very Special Book
I happened to see the picture book while on vacation in Holland. (Highly overpriced, but since it's out of print here it was worth it.) This is such a cute story and I look forward to sharing it with children. It can expose children to some characteristics of this beautiful country many of them haven't even heard of. Hendrika is the most adorable cow!

Cow in the Rain (Cow Adventure Series)2 reviews
Todd Aaron Smith

Baker Books, 2002

Another great Cow book!
This is one of our favorite Cow books. Much like "Cow Finds a Friend", it deals with judging people, preconcieved ideas, etc... I really liked the message in this story. Cow thinks the Dog is just a stupid dog who barks for no reason, and then the dog ends up saving Cow, and the dog explains why he barks--it's his place on the farm, etc... I love that Todd Aaron Smith puts these great ideas and ...

There's a Cow in the Road!4 reviews
Reeve Lindbergh

Dial, 1993

Excellent!
This book is a hit in our household! The illustrations tell several stories at once (keep an eye on the cat, who keeps wanting to go out when she's in, and in when she's out) and provide a rich subtext to the main story. The text itself is engaging on so many levels...the rhymes, the diction, the repetition, the animal sounds, not to mention the way it portrays a hectic and not-entirely-normal ...

The Complete Cow : An Udderly Entertaining History of Dairy and Beef Cows in the World5 reviews
Sara Rath

Raincoast Book Distribution, 1998

A fabulous and thoroughly enjoyable book about cow culture.
Sara Rath's "The Complete Cow" is a gem of a book. I was amazed by the scope and in-depth coverage of cows written in friendly first person text. It 's all so readable and interesting, you just keep turning the pages for more information about these all-important and loveable beasts. The book is full of large-format color photos, side-bars, cow jokes and interesting trivia such as how to ...

Consider a Spherical Cow: A Course in Environmental Problem Solving2 reviews
John Harte

University Science Books, 1988

Everybody should read this book
This book provides an excellent viewpoint on physical problem solving by "thinking outside the box". I provides great approach to setting up all types of physical problems. I found the book very useful to all types of science. You don't have to be an environmental scientist to benefit from this text. The example problems are very good and the examples stand out in my memory for a long time -- ...

God, If You're Real, Let the Cow Be in the Pen When I Get Home: Experiencing the Reality of God3 reviews
Ernest L. Dyess

Bridge-Logos Publishers, 1994

Great book!
This book is one of the most encouraging books I have ever read. Mr. Dyess writes in an intellectual, yet down-to-earth, manner, which makes for an enjoyable reading and learning experience. He uses experiences from throughout his own life to show the reality of God. This book has shown me how much God cares for us and is wanting to bless us if we'll just allow Him to do so. I recommend it ...

A Cow In The Pool & Udder Humorous Farm Stories5 reviews
Joe Peck

Peckhaven Publishing, 2001

Got Milk? Then get this book
What a great find! Mooove over James Herriot. This little gem comes from a lifelong farmer in upstate New York who has a keen sense of humor and a wry wit. This is a collection of very funny stories and musing about life on a dairy farm and the trials and tribulations of a disapearing lifestyle. I have had the great fortune of meeting the family featured in this collection of stories and they ...
