Helped me come up to speed quickly
I bought this book after I read the Windows Vista Step by Step book. I really liked that book, but I like this one even better. There is so much information about Outlook in general and the cool new features of Outlook 2007--I've been using it at work and it's just amazing. I did have some trouble setting up the program at home, which is why I bought this book. I found the solution in Chapter ...
From Vines to Wines: The Complete Guide to Growing Grapes and Making Your Own Wine

Almost perfect
This book tells you everything about growing grapes and producing fine wine. It even deals with the choice of grape-varieties suited for your climate. It is almost perfect. I think many Europeans will read this book, and it would have been perfect if it included the Meditteranean countries in the tables of climate-zones and selection of suitable varieties. It is very difficult to find this ...

Outstanding!
In fact, I thoroughly enjoyed the entire Step-By-Step series covering MS Office. I strongly suggest any student, curious George or researcher to pick up a copy and read it. I recently purchased MS 2007 Access, Excel, Power Point and Word set in the Step-By-Step series. The authors are concise in their descriptions without being boring and the information is invaluable.

Book arrived as expected. I have bought "Step by Step" books on many programs. This one, like the rest, has been very helpful. There are sections I skip because they are very basic, but other readers may find the basic information very helpful.

A Feast For Your Eyes
This story is a lovely celebration of Thanksgiving leftovers. The landscape of the table will be familiar to anyone who has ever attended a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. The story is cute and repetition makes it a fun read for the reader and the listener. As much as I enjoy the story it is the pictures that make this a must have. Illustrator Jeffrey Ebbeler has created an adorable ...

The Absolute Pinnacle of Mountaineering Information
With over 1/2 a million copies sold, Mountaineering: The Freedom of the Hills truly is "the bible" of safe and efficient climbing. With the book measuring in at over one inch thick, it would be impossible to accurately give it justice in the space provided here. Therefore, I'll hit the highlights. The 6th edition, which I have, is divided up into 6 parts: -outdoor fundamentals...covers things ...

This Book Delivers
The story in "The Glass of Time" is convincing and suspenseful with intriguing, sympathetic, and believable characters. The clothing, architecture, furnishings, and street scenes are all described in a way that makes it possible to easily imagine the story unfolding in front of you. The heroine and her wicked, yet seductive, counterpart are described in a way that makes them come alive both ...

Misleading title
Let me first say that only about 10% of this book covers the topic of sex, so the title is not all together accurate. I'm sure it was a marketing ploy because we all know sex sells! Yeah, baby! Not to say this book is not as engaging as the title would have you believe. I could not put it down, and believe me, there is a *lot* to get through until you hit the juicy parts. The writing is very, ...

A must read! A+++
I loved the way this story was narrated. The narrator confesses to a murder and the premise of the book is the story that leads you to understand his cold-blooded motive. It is a sizzling murder mystery, but the mystery is not who did it, but instead why he did it. The language is easy to read, but still transports you to Victorian London. Unbelievably suspenseful and intriguing with plenty of ...

A package bearing no return address arrives at the Anthropology Department of the University of. Nevada...and a shocking discovery is made upon opening the box: a genuine shrunken head. At first, Gil Grissom and his team of crime scene investigators -- Catherine Willows, Warrick Brown, Nick Stokes, and Greg Sanders -- consider this merely an oddity, a grisly relic from the past. But when all the evidence points to the fact that it's really the ...

Good Read for Managers
I am a Human Resources Manager. We gave this book to all of the staff managers as a mandatory read. The discussion that took place was great, each manager brought something to the table on how they saw themsevles and real situations in this book. The book is written in such a way that it is an easy read with humor but is still shows the serious side of how we view teamwork. We are now making ...

Here's the deal...
So I've decided that I should also put my two cents worth in regarding the book and other comments here. This is Alicia, and yes, my son Ewan is mentioned in the book under the Special Needs section. First off, is this book for everyone? Maybe not, no book, no theory, no treatment plan out there is for absolutely everybody. But give it a shot if you've got a child that is a picky eater or ...

This book of new family traditions is so reader-friendly and so comfortable to pick up and browse that I can hardly get my copy out of the hands of my co-workers...The presentation and style are perfect for the topic and the information presented is easy to digest and creative enough to encourage our own ideas on the topic. This book is ideal for new parents but even us older parents of ...

Hello, and thanks for all the fish!
While listening to this tale as an audiobook, I was surprised to be sitting at the edge of my recliner! For a very simple premise, Lynne Cox crafted a plot with a lot of excitement. I was touched by the sense of communion between the human swimmer and the baby whale, each of them vulnerable and exposed. The communication and intelligence of the whales in this story, plus a mega-pod of ...

Step by Step Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007 book
I found this book to be most valuable in using Microsoft Office Home and Student 2007. It describes and teaches you the skills you need to use this program more efficiently. Even if you used this program before, which may have been an older program, it will be a big help to you. The CD that came with it is a plus especially for new users. Sincerely, Mary Graczyk

Calling all Quilters!
Whether you've been quilting for years, or a "newbie" like me, you will like this book (a lot!). My daughter first showed The Quilter's Catalog to me, I checked it out from the library, and I had to get one of my own! It will take you months to absorb all the information, web sites, tips, everything! Every time I open it, I find something new. This is going to be the perfect Christmas present ...
