Until the End8 reviews
Coyle Harold

Simon & Schuster (Trade Division), 1996

A one line summary is insufficient to describe this book.
Look Away and Until the End were my first 2 Civil War novels. I was not dissappointed. The battles are described in vivid detail. Coyle makes the 1860's come alive with wonderful plot AND character development. The only bad thing that could possibly be said about this book is that it is not "to be continued".

Do Princesses Wear Hiking Boots?25 reviews
Carmela LaVigna Coyle, Mike Gordon, ...

Rising Moon, 2003

Cutest book!
This is a cute book. I first saw it at a gift shop in Yellowstone park but you know how vacations can be ad I didn't want to lug it everywhere we went the rest of the day so I waited until we got home to see if I could still get it and of course amazon had it. I purchased it for my 3 year old who just had to have it. She will be getting it for Christmas! I know she will love it! I've read it and ...

Evolutionary Witchcraft34 reviews
T. Thorn Coyle

Tarcher, 2004

A spiritual guide to magic
Evolutionary Witchcraft T. Thorn Coyle Penguin books 302 pages I found this book to be very intriguing because it provides a mystical perspective to magic and this perspective is based off a western system of magic as opposed to an Eastern system. It does have some parallels with Eastern mysticism, but is also more practical oriented. While I didn't agree with all of Coyle's points, I did ...

Do Princesses Really Kiss Frogs? (Do Princesses...)10 reviews
Carmela LaVigna Coyle, Mike Gordon

Rising Moon, 2005

FOR ANYONE WHO EVER TOOK A WALK WITH A KID
I truely enjoyed this one, both in it's reading and visually. The little girl in the story is so very, very typical of children her age, both girls and boys, that you are bound to see one of your children, or as in my case, children and grandchildren, in her. The text is rhyming in nature and is quite catching. This is one of those books you must read and see several times. Each time I read ...

The Castle Has Fallen: The Reluctant Rebel4 reviews
Jack Coyle

1st Books Library, 2003

A Wonderful Novel
Colm Fox MA, A retired History teacher and author, October 13, 2003, A wonderful novel It had great historic spread from the Veldt of South Africa, to the carnage of the Somme and the troubles in Ireland. This was told on various levels; the coming of age in 19th century Derry, with its social conflicts and inherent divisions, the ambitions of a working class boy to acheive social ...

Team Yankee41 reviews
Harold Coyle

Penguin Books Ltd, 1991

One of the best war novels out there
Team Yankee is quite an interesting book. Harold Coyle describes a war between the Warsaw Pact and NATO in 1985 in great detail. But don't expect this to be like Red Storm Rising, this book focuses entirely on small unit tactics with zero politics. The action starts immediately at the beginning of the second chapter, and it never stops. The battles are realistic and the tactics are described ...

Hardball : A Season in the Projects12 reviews
Daniel Coyle, Giancarlo Esposito

Harper Audio, 1994

Worth the search
This book is such a great find. Unlike the movie, this is the non-fiction account of a group of volunteer's attempts to organize a little league team in Chigago's Cabrini Green project, possibly the most infamous in the country. Don't expect any Keanu Reeves ex-gambler coaches to show up. Do expect great candor from the kids and an unmistakable affection from the author (who never appears in the ...

The Redemption3 reviews
Michael, W. Coyle

Lulu.com, 2006

An ABSOLUTE MARVEL!
I could not put this book down! It was so tantalizing and put together! Mr. Coyle explores the many different struggles of youth through various characters' consciences--something all types of young people can relate to: the cynic, the rebel, the prude and merges them together on a great journey that becomes more exciting each time you flip the page! This was like no other book I have read! ...

The Classroom Teacher's Inclusion Handbook2 reviews
Jerome C. Yanoff

Arthur Coyle Press, 1999

Great for Gen Ed teachers
As an inclusion facilitator, I highly recommend this book for the general education teacher. It is well organized, well written, and provides detailed but direct overviews about specific learning challenges, as well as accommodations that are viable in the classroom. I read the whole thing from cover to cover and am recommending to all of the teachers that I am working with.

Paradoxes of Prosperity: Why the New Capitalism Benefits All3 reviews
Diane Coyle

Texere, 2002

COyle enters the ranks of the greats
Paul Krugman. Bradford De Long. There are few economists able to make complex ideas sing for the general reader. With her latest book The Paradoxes of Prosperity, her follow-up to 1999's The Weightless World, Diane Coyle has entered their ranks. That the book succeeds so well is a testament to Coyle's ability to keep two conflicting ideas in the reader's head at the same time. Thus the central, ...

Do Princesses Count? (Do Princesses...)3 reviews
Carmela LaVigna Coyle

Rising Moon, 2006

Special book for special kids
My favorite children's author, Carmela LaVigna Coyle's new board book, Do Princesses Count?, is just what the preschooler's will love. It features the beloved princess from the Princess series (Do Princesses Wear Hiking Boots?, Do Princesses Really Kiss Frogs? and Do Princesses Scrape Their Knees?) The Princess is in her hiking boots, with a daisy crown on her head and is going for a hike. ...

The Classroom Teacher's Trouble-Shooting Handbook: Practical Solutions to Problems with Students, Adults and ...3 reviews
Jerome C. Yanoff

Arthur Coyle Press, 1999

The Classroom Teacher's Trouble Shooting Handbook
As someone who is new to teaching high school English, I was looking for a "good soul" to hang with during that first incredible year in the classroom. There were a few of these folks, but I needed serious help. I found this book, flipped it open to the table of contents, and read it through to the end in a single afternoon. My stress just slithered away! Mr. Yanoff is the "angel on my ...

Komikwerks, Volume 13 reviews
Patrick Coyle, Shannon Denton

Komikwerks, 2003

Excellent Indie Anthology
Komikwerks.com founders Patrick Coyle and Shannon Denton have published the first print Komikwerks collection, of which I hope there are many more. The book contains 11 short comics from writers and artists from the likes of Danny Miki, Aaron Sowd, Will Meugniot, Vatche Mavlian, Matt Haley, and Steven Winthrow. The strength of the anthology is the diversity of storytelling and style making it a ...

Wireless Web: A Manager's Guide4 reviews
Frank Coyle

Addison-Wesley Professional, 2001

Finally - An Intelligent Book on Wireless and the Web!
About two years ago I had the pleasure of hearing Frank Coyle speak at an industry conference. Frank's talk at the conference was primarily on XML (Extensible Markup Language). During the talk I was very impressed with the breadth and depth of Frank's knowledge. He traced the development of XML from its origins in GML (Generalized Markup Language) from the 1970s to SGML (Standard Generalized ...

The result is a celebration of life, love, and physical as well as a cerebral expression. "Messages to Me": A feeling / a thought / flies by on ...

401 Take Charge of Your Future2 reviews
Walter Updegrave, Michael Sivy, ...

Grand Central Publishing, 1996

Excellent book on getting a handle on a 401(k)
This book is an excellent resource for those wishing to understand that mystical employee benefit of the 90's, the 401(k). It inspired me to finally understand mine, and help me make better use of the available options. I recommend it to anyone whose company offers a 401(k)
