I Had No Idea
Until a friend of mine told me about this book and I read it, I sort of thought that Louisiana culture was basically Mardi Gras and New Orleans with some Doctor John thrown in. Bob Ed Radley opened my eyes to a whole world, and I can't wait to visit some of the places he talked about in the book. If they really exist, that is, and aren't just in his imagination.
Can't wait.

Excellent seafood, reasonable prep time
This is a great cookbook for the fish lover. I have had it for about 2 years and have tried almost 20 of the recipes-- all turned out very well. This book has taken the famous recipes of the McCormick and Schmick(?) restaurants and simplified them slightly. Many of the recipes can be done in 15 minutes or less and without alot of exotic ingredients!

Down the Crawfish Hole is well written for children. A wonderful variation of Alice in Wonderland with a little boy fishing as the major character. It is whimsical and magical and children should be enchanted. The artistry of the illustrations is just fabulous. The drawings are detailed and fun, and perfectly fit the story. Looking forward to more children's books from Wes Thomas.

Charming story of a cooperative effort by Bayou critters.
Clovis and his friends save the day once again by helping Etienne the snail save her eggs. I loved the Clovis series as a little girl growing up in rural Louisiana, and now I enjoy the books for their colorful description of Cajun life.
