Mara Daughter of the Nile166 reviews
Eloise Jarvis McGraw

Peter Smith Publisher Inc, 1991

THE BEST book EVER
This book was awesome. It had everything that makes a book good: action, spies, romance, intense scenes. I love it. I like how Mara uses her witts to survive, it just makes it so much better. And boy does it have the best ending. You might be wondering why I have not said anything practically about the story, and the reason for that is I can't risk ruining the book for you! READ THE BOOK!

The Lost Years: Surviving a Mother and Daughter's Worst Nightmare92 reviews
Kristina Wandzilak, Constance Curry

Jeffers Press, 2006

Gripping- I could not put this book down
I have worked in the field of Chemical Dependency recovery for almost 30 years and have read & heard 1000's of 'recovery stories' but there is something about this one that hooks you in & doesn't let you go. It is heart-breaking, courageous and ultimately inspiringly clear-sighted. It's one of the best descriptions of how one family member's co-dependency recovery can alter an addict's ...

"The Color of a Wonderful Story"
Hands Down this is one of the best books The Regal Sisterhood Book Club has read to date! This is a must read for anyone who calls themselves a reader. The storyline provided a wide avenue of discussion for our book club meeting. Just resist the temptation to serve Grits and you will be fine! LOL! This is a must read for any book club! The fact that it is based on a true story really made it ...

Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Tale (Bccb Blue Ribbon Picture Book Awards (Awards))166 reviews
Mo Willems

Hyperion Book CH, 2004

Classic Book that even parents will find funny
My 3 & 4 year old received this book as a gift. It quickly became a favorite, of theirs & mine! My 3 year old has an attachment to his blanket, whereas Trixie is attached to her "knuffle bunny" so we could relate. Highly recommended for anyone with children who have favorite clutches (i.e. blanket, stuffed animal, etc.). It's a simple read, with cute pictures.

Singing Praises!
As stated on Julie Lessman's website, her books certainly deliver passion with a purpose! They provide the perfect balance of romantic and spiritual passion. The Daughters of the Moon #5: Sacrifice59 reviews
Lynne Ewing

Hyperion Book CH, 2001

For what it is...
...I really enjoyed the book for an easy read that wasn't too deep. My daughter, when she was 18, brought the book home from school, and she can't get enough of it or the series of books under the Daughter's of the Moon series. I wouldn't personally recommend the book for the younger teen audience, as it deals with some more grown up situations than a 13 or 14 year old may really understand, ...

Finding Life in the Land of Alzheimer's: One Daughter's Hopeful Story49 reviews
Lauren Kessler

Penguin (Non-Classics), 2008

Can't stop thinking about the book.
Excellent book, made me think about my own parents and I especially liked the part where she talks about her son leaving for college. Exactly how I felt. Many times I felt like crying. My grandma had alzheimers so for me a very relevant book.

Mothering Mother: A Daughter's Humorous and Heartbreaking Memoir49 reviews

Kunati Inc.

Touching
This book was hard to read at times, but there is humor to counter the sadness. I am going through a similar problem with my mother and reading Carol O'Dell's book helped put everything in perspective.

Peter Greyson

Wonderful account of being an adolescent
Peter has done a great job of addressing a parents concern for their soon to be teenager. With humor and real life accounts Peter has done a magnificent job of showing the potential pitfalls one can encounter in life. I was shocked at times by what I read but within a few pages,I found something that I could once again relate to. I read this book in three days. With a 6 month old child to care ...
