Book of Honor: Covert Lives & Classified Deaths at the CIA46 reviews
Ted Gup

Diane Pub Co, 2000

The Ultimate Sacrifice
By far the best book that I have every read. Ted Gup does an excellent job of painting the picture of the lifestyle and dedication of the people that worked with or for the CIA. Within the book, he tells various accounts of those that sacrificed all for love of the country and not recognition or money.

Death and Honor (Honor Bound)12 reviews
W.E.B. Griffin, William E. Butterworth IV

Putnam Adult, 2008

Another W.E.B. Griffin great one
Griffin is my favorite author. Every time I read one from one of the series, I decide that it is my favorite series, only to have it trumped by the next book. I'll admit that his last two OSS books weren't up to the usual standard, but this one is. I skimmed through it quickly to get a first impression, then started over for a more detailed, and enjoyable, read. Clete Frade and the whole ...

A Death of Honor2 reviews
Joe Clifford Faust

Del Rey, 1987

Good Science, biased Fiction
One of the most memorable (anonymous) quotes I ever heard was "If you've got a message, send it Western Union". The usage is with a subtle irony, as the speaker disapproved of the practice of leading a reader on with the carrot of an interesting story, and then whacking the reader with a stick to pound in a moral lesson. That may be the case with "A Death of Honor". While the science aspect ...

Honor Lost
This was very interesting and I enjoyed it. I passed it on to my neighbor and she thought it was excellent also.

Honor Lost - Love and Death in Modern-Day Jordan by Norma Khouri2 reviews
Norma Khouri

Washington Square, 2004

I never do this.
Review a book I didn't finish. But I feel safer in doing so now that this book has turned out to be a hoax. See, there were two reasons I couldn't complete the book, and only got through a few chapters. First off, the writing quality, well, it was incredibly bad. I mean, it hurt my head to read it. But I probably on a matter of principle would have plowed on anyway. I had sat down with high ...

Death With Honors: A Knight & Day Mystery (Nessen, Ron, Knight & Day Mystery.)3 reviews
Ron Nessen, Johanna Neuman

Forge, 1998

An exciting page-turner that keeps you wanting more.
Death With Honors is the best installation of the Knight and Day series yet. The characters are superb; you can really feel the bond that Jerry and Jane have for each other. The inclusion of A.L. is a great part of the book, as you are able to feel how the other side of DC actually lives. The best part of the work is that it keeps you wanting to read more and more. Unlike most mysteries, this ...
