This is an excellent book. I read many chapters for my son before bed. We both like them very much. They broaden his knowledge and enrich his mind like nothing else. My son's school does not provide this much content. We would have missed significant literature, history, and geography without it. The authors have done an important and nice job!

I am really happy with this book. We homeschool and this has been a great resource. My children really enjoy the information and it is presented in an interesting way. I feel like the material is high quality and covers a wide variety. We really like all the ideas for activities and have used quite a few.

Gabaldon paints her books with thick color. Her characters are so well-developed that I feel I know them all very well.
