Demolish: (with demolition machine) (Matchbox) 1 review Darice Bailer, S. I. International
Little Simon, 2005
Good fun and role playing This board book provides a nice "hands-on" learning opportunity. Kids love cars (and other vehicles) and having a story about one of their toys keeps their interest. A great series if you want more than just a toy!
The story-line follows the demolishon of an old building and the reasons for it plus the new construciton.

Demolition Winter: A Novel (Space: Above and Beyond, Book 2) 7 reviews Peter Telep, Glen Morgan, ...
Harpercollins (Mm), 1997
An Excellent SAAB Sniper-Mission Novel! this was a wonderful SAAB novel! since only 26-odd hours were ever produced, reading this adventure was very special. the 58th is stuck on an alien planet on a sabotage mission, and things just keep getting worse! this was an excellent novel that like J.R.R. Tolkein takes the time to describe the land the characters are moving through, so the reader is really put involved in the action. ...

Demolition Angel 136 reviews Robert Crais
Doubleday, 2000
A review of the abridged audio edition First - usually I hate abridged works because they are TOO abridged. This one was not, to its credit.
Demolition Angel is a first-rate thriller and a pleasure to listen to - it really perked up my morning drive for about a week. If you are a fan of the Elvis Cole novels this one is a must-read so that you can get the backstory on Detective Carol Starkey.
Veteran actress Patricia Kalember ...

Frogmen: training, equipment, and operations of our Navy's undersea fighters (The Colby books) 1 review C. B Colby
Coward-McCann, 1954
Great for a kid who likes military history CB Colby wrote a whole string of books in the late 50's to early 70's that basically targeted younger boys. The books dealt with topics from 'Arms of our Fighting Men' to "Ships of Our Navy". Each of the books is around ~60 pages, and shows excellent pictures of various arms and weapons, with a paragraph or 2 for each page written for a youngster to understand.
I loved these books when I was in ...

Food for Small Wars & Demolitions : a Collection of Recipes (and trivia!) from the world of movie catering 1 review Kristin L. Peturson
The Travelling Tummy Food Company Ltd., 1999
Excellent value! Amusing anecdotes and great recipes for both the novice and experienced cook. Much appreciated are the serving suggestions, variations, and the nutritional analysis of each recipe. This is NOT an expensive, glossy, coffee table cook book with difficult to follow recipes that have a dubious outcome. Rather you are enticed into the recipe by the author's introduction and entertained by the one ...

Water Is Never Cold: The Origins of the U.S. Navy's Combat Demolition Units, UDTs, and Seals 3 reviews James Douglas O'Dell
Brassey's Inc, 2001
Men among Men I had the honor of knowing one of the men in the book. I grew up with his sons and he treated me like I was one of his own. He never spoke of his service. He never watched a war movie when it came on the television; he either changed the channel or shut the set off. He was a quiet man. These were real men. The description of the training and missions is full of detail that brings the story to ...

Pedal to the metal.(Girls on the Go)(demolition derby driver): An article from: New Moon 1 review Mary Jo Youngbauer
New Moon Publishing, 2003
Great article to inspire young girls This article introduces you to the world of demolition derby through the eyes of a teenage girl. She obviously loves derby and is a good writer. The short essay, which I actually read in the original publication, is an interesting trek through her world and her words can inspire young people to explore the possibilities around them. I would recommend having preteens and young teenagers read ...
