Dolphins and Sharks: Magic Tree House Research Guide (Magic Tree House Rsrch Gdes(R)) 2 reviews Mary Pope Osborne, Natalie Pope Boyce
Random House Books for Young Readers, 2003
An informative book Dolphins and Sharks is a non-fiction companion to Dolphins at Daybreak. It contains a lot of facts and information. It is a Magic Tree House Research Guide (a stepping stone book). It talks about dolphins and sharks, how they communicate and how they are different from each other. I like this book very much because I love dolphins.I am sure that fans of dolphins and sharks, and the Dolphins at ...

Flying Dolphin Press, 2007
Niiiiiice! Borat is not for everyone but those that guffawed their way through the film and still wanted more, this book takes the journey further.
Definitely not for those with a delicate constitution but hilarious for the die hard fan.

Consciousness Is All: Now Life Is Completely New 14 reviews Peter Francis Dziuban
Blue Dolphin Publishing, Inc, 2006
An Astonishing Book This is a wholly remarkable book. I was put off just a little by the Introduction, and was afraid I was going to discover something a bit juvenile, or so New Age that I would be unable to take it seriously. Nothing could be further from the truth.
I've read hundreds of spiritual books, Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism, Christian mysticism, A Course in Miracles, I mean a library of material. After ...

Three Bags Full: A Sheep Detective Story 23 reviews Leonie Swann
Flying Dolphin Press, 2008
Oddly satisfying... This is a delightful, strange, silly, poignant story of a flock of sheep who seek justice when they find the body of their shepherd with a spade in his chest.
Don't think this is Animal Farm, or a Fairy Tale. It's comedy, it's reflective of society -- but it isn't satire or cynical.
I was laughing out loud, yet there were moments of real depth. If you're looking for a light, worthy ...

aye aye The Alphabet from A to Y With Bonus Letter Z!

Chemistry: The Central Science 5 reviews Theodore L. Brown, H. Eugene Lemay, ...
Pearson Publications Company, 2006
Best out there My AP chemistry class used this book as well as my college General Chemistry class. Ive compared it with other popular chemistry books and none of them explain as thoroughly and cover as wide a breadth of topics as this book does. If your having problems with your current General Chemistry textbook you should definitely buy this one as an adjunct to it.

Journeys Out of the Body 47 reviews Robert Monroe
A Dolphin Book, Doubleday, 1977
You will fly away too. I think you are interested in this subject before you bought this book. Monroe is one of the pioneers in OOBE and books about it. It is well written and will hold your attention and you just might read it twice if it takes you where you want to go. I recommend this book and should be #1 in everybody's OOBE library.

Island of the Blue Dolphins 601 reviews Scott O'Dell
Yearling, 1987
A Warm Novel I read Island of The Blue Dolphins sometime before Christmas this year. It was a pleasure to read--it was simple, brief, and the characters were fresh and realistic. O' Dell used very descriptive writing, nevertheless, it did not go to where it is tedious to read because of the overload of words.
If you do not like novels without much action besides attacks with sea critters I would not ...

The Music of Dolphins 111 reviews Karen Hesse
Scholastic Paperbacks, 1998
Sociological Literature for Young People I am writing this as a reply to the review entitled "OMG THIS BOOK WAS HORRIBLE."
This novel is not about it being a "true" story, which it isn't, but about the development of language and social communication and interaction.
An example case relative to Mila's predicament would be the case of Isabelle, who was discovered when she was 6 years old in a dark room, where her family kept her ...

Picking Winners: A Horseplayer's Guide 13 reviews Andrew Beyer
Houghton Mifflin, 1994
Great for picking more than just horses I've never bet on a horse race. I've actually only been to a track once in my life (we don't have a lot of it in this part of the country), and yet I still found this book tremendously useful. Why? Well, it was recommended to me as a guide to "Picking Winners," not just in the horse racing world but in the stock market as well. And, having now read the book I can say that it has proven a more ...

Ways of Reading: An Anthology for Writers 8 reviews David Bartholomae, Anthony Petrosky
Bedford/St. Martin's, 2004
Challenging, yet rewarding read I had to read this book for my upper division journalism class this fall and found it to be one of the best books that we used in the course. The editors have tried to collect well-written, intelligent documentaries that challenge traditional connections between words and photographs. Included are Edward Said's inspiring piece about the Palestinian holocaust and exile, a piece by Roland ...

Chemistry - the Central Science: Ap - Edition / Solutions to Red Exercises 1 review Theodore E. Brown, Eugene H. Lemay, ...
Pearson Publications Company, 2006
Chemistry Solutions manual Pretty helpful to have for the course. It tends to leave out answers to the simplest questions from the beginning of the problems in each chapter but otherwise is good. For me, I could use a little more step by step answers for some of the solutions but it may may be just fine for others. Overall, I would recommend having this manual for the course.

Beautiful Minds: The Parallel Lives of Great Apes and Dolphins 2 reviews Maddalena Bearzi, Craig B. Stanford
Harvard University Press, 2008
Must Read Bearzi and Stanford state that "the evolution of intelligent life might be a likely eventuality rather than a bizarre fluke." The authors link two organismal groups (dolphins and great apes) based on their convergent social behaviors and illuminate the evolution of our own (human) intelligence. This book opens a door into a new realm of fascination within the animal kingdom and why conservation ...

Uncover the Human Body: An Uncover It Book 16 reviews Luann Colombo
Silver Dolphin Press, 2003
Not quite anatomically correct This is one of my 8 year-old's favorite books: she asked for it when she was 6 and is constantly rereading it. Now that she is a very scientific 8 year old, and has other books in the Uncover series, she has raised questions as to why the reproductive system is included in the tarantula book but not in the human body book. She would also like to know whether the body is a boy's or a girl's, ...

I highly recommend the audio version, by itself, or to read along with the book at the same time. This is truely a priceless treasure for fans of Amy Grant!
