My AP chemistry class used this book as well as my college General Chemistry class. Ive compared it with other popular chemistry books and none of them explain as thoroughly and cover as wide a breadth of topics as this book does. If your having problems with your current General Chemistry textbook you should definitely buy this one as an adjunct to it.

You will fly away too.
I think you are interested in this subject before you bought this book. Monroe is one of the pioneers in OOBE and books about it. It is well written and will hold your attention and you just might read it twice if it takes you where you want to go. I recommend this book and should be #1 in everybody's OOBE library.

Pretty helpful to have for the course. It tends to leave out answers to the simplest questions from the beginning of the problems in each chapter but otherwise is good.
