Beautifully illustrated!!
This book's simple rhythm and beautiful illustrations of barnyard characters make this one of my son's favorites(age 23 months). The brightly colored pictures of animals with large text make this book eye-catching and appealing to the very young.

Great fun
This doodle book is great fun for my daughter. It is a good item to keep in the car so she can pick it up and doodle a page or 2. I would say take it on a trip, but it is soo big!?! My daughter is 11 and likes art; this would be great for young children as well.

Hilarious!
TO ALL THOSE LOOKING FOR COPIES OF THIS MASTERPIECE!....I had the distinct opportunity to read all 40,000 1/2 feet of the book while in Nepal at THE Rum Doodle Restaurant! We'll be heading back in the near future and can likely get more copies. Space in my pack is very limited but I may be able to slip in an extra copy or two...let me know if you'd like one.

Sir Edmund Hillary Meets Monty Python
There was a period of time a few years back during which I ate up the literature of British exploration like candy - the tragic story of Robert Scott in the Antarctic, the thrilling survival adventures of Sir Ernest Shackleton, and the like. These yarns had in common their Britishness - a bizarre combination of courage and, frankly, foolishness (Scott thought he could get to the South Pole on ...

Flute of Many Colors
Daniel Pinkwater gently shows the limits of acquisitive materialism in this colorful, humorous book. Fortunate son Kevin Spoon has nearly everything, including his own TV, VCR, stereo, computer, professional running shoes, first baseman's glove, and even purebred guppies. One day, he encounters nonconformist Mason Mintz, who is deemed "weird." He wears sloppy clothes, cheap sneakers, a plaid hat, ...

THE BRAVEST LITTLE YORKIE
Yorkie Doodle Dandy is not just another story of a man and his dog. It is a real life story of a miracle and I guess what is meant to be will be. Mr. Wynne finds his little Yorkie literally in the middle of nowhere on an island during a war. I don't want to give the story away but it shows the bonding that can take place between owner and pet and what sacrifices will be made for each other. Be ...

Wonderful book
This is a beautiful book to keep and to give. The drawings are very interesting and beautiful, some of them are very basic sketches, some are complex artistic works, but all of them have one thing in common: they were drawn with lots of love. And that shows. Thank you for this book Ms Leacock!

Pre-K Humor and Easy Reading Fun
Our seven-year-old brought this book home from his first grade class to read to his three-year-old brother. It was an instant hit. Bernard Most wraps a farm animal dilemma around some very funny language and a witty conclusion making this our youngest son's favorite book! If you have a preschooler who's learning to read or just enjoying stories, here's a book that will capture their attention ...

Meet A Man Who Made "US" Possible
Private Yankee Doodle, the diary of Joseph Plumb Martin, is an excellent account of the Revolutionary War told from the soldier's view. Martin campaigned almost continuously from the beginning of the War through Yorktown (with the exception of the first winter after his initial three month service). He lived much of what have become the hallowed tales of our epic struggle for nationhood. He was ...

Wholesome subversive fun for all ages!
This book brings back a rush of memory of drawing for sheer pleasure. A constant doodler in school, I would draw go-go checks and floating boxes in grade school, rock and roll logos in middle school, monsters and dogs, stars, rockets... I can't imagine getting through school without drawing. (Don't worry moms and dads, doodling actually helped my grades. It was a left brain/right brain thing.) ...

UNIQUE LOOK INSIDE JAPAN
There is hardly any book available by a Westerner looking back over more than half a century's contact with Japan - , culturally, economically and socially. Well, Hans Brinckmann's The Magatama Doodle fills the gap. The author starts with entering Japanese life in the service of a Dutch bank in 1950. By means of anecdotes and observations he tells us how his experiences became an 'affair' with ...

Rooster Can't Cock-a Doodle-Doo
A most delightful book and teaches an important lesson about everyone being a very important "cog in the wheel" and the value of helping each other out in times of need. The illustrations are wonderful and the story is captivating to a variety of ages in children - adults, too. Fun to read to little people.

A Delightful Book About Jewish Family Life In Chicago 1920s
I greatly enjoyed every one of the 40 chapters in this wonderful recollection of Jewish life in 20's America. Each chapter highlights a delightful adventure as seen through the eyes of a youngster. Trials and tribulations of a youngster, as remembered by the guy who lived it, is a heartwarming tribute to family life for an immigrant family with their youngsters. Having been brought up in a ...

imaginative learning experience for all ages
Who can resist a squoodle or a cooster? I found this book to inspire word play as well as visual creativity even beyond the ones in the book. I also learned more about mythyological animals and their stories. The clever rhymes give these mixed up animals character and personalily and made me laugh. I highly recommend this mixed up menagerie for children as well as adults.

Very easy to understand and remarkably accurate. I would recomend this to anyone as it is exciting to find out what one's doodles reveal about themselves. It is also fun to try them out on your friends and family and get insights into their personalities that would normally remain hidden.

Fun stuff
This is appropriate for any age. This is another item from the cool "klutz" company that makes neat educational toys that are portable enough to go anywhere in a pocket. This helps you to improve your doodles, or scribble art, into better art. The little book is spiral bound like a note pad and has a pencil and a 35 foot roll of paper to draw on. Great stocking stuffer. I also reccommend Ed ...
