An Excellent Guide to Gemstones and Magick
This is one of the best books on gemstone magick ever published. It covers everything from gemstone amulets to elixirs, and has a comprehensive table of correspondences, which I found extremely useful. Unlike similar books by Melody and Cunningham, it covers both the light and the darker uses of stones, and is also full of spells and wonderful pagan folklore. I highly recommend this book to ...

This one is interesting.
This is a great book on potion making. But be careful all because something is natural does not mean it cant make you sick. Like Cats claw is not good for a pregnant woman to drink. She does not put these warning on her book. Regardless of the reader not being warned it is a great book. O love the mandrake section and I have incorporated some of her potions in my spells. The Mandrake potion for ...

Phantom Felines and Other Ghostly Animals
If you're an animal lover who enjoys reading ghost stories, then this is the book for you. It is packed with true tales of the supernatural involving cats, dogs, birds, rabbits, and other pets returning from beyond the grave. The author, a paranormal investigator, begins the book with a chapter that discusses: Haunted Places, Earthbound Spirits and Spectral Sightings, Animal Sensitivity to ...

A Resourceful Resource
Having already read "Escape from Innsmouth" and the Kingsport Sourcebook, I read this book less charitably than I might have when it was first released. The characters of Dunwich all seem the same - poor, widowed, incestuous, abused, etc. After reading the hundredth entry on a family, I began to feel that it would be less tiresome to simply state that people there are backward, miserable, and ...

An Excellent Book
I bought this book some time ago, and it has been read often enough that it is beginning to spilt at the spine. As with any of Ms. Dunwich's books, I never tire of re-reading it. It is concise, practical, and to the point. Some of the information here may be found in other books by this author, but it is information that does bear repeating. Ms. Dunwich books in general are excellent ...

About this edition . . . .
I will not try to write a complete review, since I see that there are already 17 reviews available here, several of fine quality. This edition is of great interest because it issues from Arkham House. Arkham House publishing was founded by August Derleth, a protege of H.P. Lovecraft who himself wrote a rather large volume of pastiche material using the Cthulhu mythos of Lovecraft. One motive ...

A collection of stories from the rotting town of Dunwich
This book has a collection of stories that were inspired by H.P. Lovecraft's Dunwich Horror, including that famous story. It's an interesting book and if you are an avid reader of Lovecraft or of the Cthulhu mythos, this book is a must have.

WONDERFUL AND WELL-WRITTEN
This is a wonderful and well-written book on herbal magic, folklore, and natural healing with herbs. It makes an excellent companion to the author's other herbal, "The Wicca Garden." If you are into magical herbalism (and what self-respecting Witch isn't?) you will certainly find a ton of valuable and useful occult information in both of these Dunwich books.

Come revisit with your old friends, the Whateleys...
Tales Out of Dunwich is a newly released book from Hippocampus Press. "Dunwich Dreams, Dunwich Screams" by Eddie Bertin is newly published with this book. Otherwise the remaining stories have all been released before. I have a pretty extensive library of mythos books and anthologies, but not of periodicals, and almost all of these stories were new to me. "Acute Spiritual Fear" by Robert Price ...

A Hauntingly Good Read!
You are in for a hauntingly good read! Author Gerina Dunwich has recorded her own stories, sometimes terrifying experiences into a subject that is usually propagated as bad or horrifying. Before you call in the exorcist, be sure to read this book. She begins her book with Phantasms and Ectoplasms, Understanding Ghosts and and Spirits. In this chapter she explains the difference with Ghost vs. ...

Spelliolicious
This is a wonderful book for the season of Halloween and any other Fall endeavor for the enterprising witch. It is well written and extremely informative. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to know more about the Halloween tradition. It dispells the common stereotype of the green skinned, wart nosed, pointed hat wearing, broom riding, cauldron stirring crone. Blessed be. ...

great for beginners and non-beginners alike
This was the first book I ever bought that was relating to Wicca, Paganism, and anything related. I find Ms. Dunwich's writing very helpful, and pretty entertaining. I find myself going back to it every so often. I have trouble recommending this book to anyone new to the Craft.
