Bewitchingly good.....
Great start to a new series. Hardly any down spots and wasted page fillers. I love the diversity of having witches, vampires, fairie/fey and my fav demons. This book had good sex with hardly any romance which I more than appreciated and had great action. I'm looking forward to reading book 2.

hot and heavy
This book grabbed me from the beginning and did not let go. I was not ready for it to end and can't wait to read the next entry. The characters in this book are so sexy, they leave you panting. I loved the sex scenes they were very titillating. I would not pass up a chance to read this book, it is well worth the time.

A Must Read!
Dark Elves 3: Salvation Irin has lived among the Dark Elves, or Raedjour, since she was two years old. Eighteen years later, she is a grown woman and the elves that have protected her from harm her whole life realize that she needs to find a true mate. In order to do that, they must lift the spell placed on her years ago in order to keep her safe. Since virginity is so rare, a contest is ...

Bloody Good
Geez, I'm running out of things to say about these books. Let's see: Anita has stopped seeing Jean-Claude as a monster, because she had yet another direct contrast between Jean-Claude and some real monsters -- several of them, in fact, and each was nastier and more gruesome than the last. We start with Xavier, the vampire pedophile who likes to kidnap young boys, rape and torture them, and then ...

Brooks always delivers!
I have been a Brooks fan since the age of 11. I have just went back through the entire series including all shannara books and the Night of the Word series. I love how he has tied the Shannara and Word&Void together. I have about eighty pages left in Elves of Cintra...then I am going to be craving for his upcoming Gypsy Morph. If you are a Shannara fan and haven't read the Word & Void series yet, ...

Great Story
I am one of those readers who doesn't like, or dislike, any specific genre. My only goal is to find a great story that I can get lost in, and boy did this do it for me! I love all the characters, as they are so well developed. You watch them all have ups and downs, go through good and bad, and react according to their nature (which may not be what you expect). Great read!

Wonderful book!
This series is a wonderful surprise. I read this in one gulp of fresh air - it's humorous, very real and the characters are so detailed that you actually feel that you know them in your real life! So many reviews here compare it to Anita Blake, but I read the first few books in that series - and NOTHING compares to Rachel Morgan. First off, Rachel Morgan is a much more complex individual, and ...
The Gypsy Morph (The Genesis of Shannara, Book 3)
Terry Brooks
Del Rey
, 2008
Terry Brooks won instant acclaim with his phenomenal New York Times bestseller The Sword of Shannara. Its sequels earned Brooks legendary status. Then his darkly enthralling The Word and the Void trilogy revealed new depths and vistas to his mastery of epic fantasy. Armageddon’s Children and The Elves of Cintra took Brooks’s remarkable mythos to a breathtaking new level by delving deep into the history of Shannara. And now, The Gypsy ...

Excellent
When I bought this, I was looking for something to fill my fantasy void (especially in Audio CDs). The book was outstanding. Yes, its wrapped into the whole Tolkien genera, but it does a nice job of having its own style. Highly recommend the Audio CDs. The narrator was not as good as Jim Dale, or some others, but nonetheless does a great job.

Superb
All she wanted was just a vacation! Okay, so vacationing to the human world is banned by Queen Mab but Fiona's never listened well to authority. Especially not when the authority is her aunt! However, a demon isn't supposed to be waiting for her when she arrives. Worse yet, the way back to Faerie is now barred and she's trapped with cranky werewolf Tobias Walker as an escort. Can things get any ...

Amazing !!
I really enjoyed reading these two books and I would recommend it for anyone who wants to discover a new sci-fi fantasy author. Well done Paolini !! I have just discovered that the 3rd book is coming up on September the 20th and I can hardly wait until then. I also watched the film of the first book (Eragon). In my opinion the film is not as good as the book and this is probably because ...

A great character driven action adventure
A strong female character that for the most part is not perfect, fantastic. How many times have you read a book where the main character, male or female, is perfect? There's no tension, no anticipation, since you already know that she or he will come out on top and they will obtain everything they always wanted. While Raine manages to get though all sticky situations, a little scratch might be ...

An interesting, fast-paced novel
This novel, though considered urban fantasy, is actually set in it's own world. I think the handsome goblin idea -though a more interesting take- did not work for me. Now here are the Pros and Cons: Pros: Intriguing bad guy (you never really know where it's at),strong heroine, edge-of-your-seat love triangle, Mychael, Phaelan, and Raine's witty comments. Cons: Tam, the Sarad Nukpana is so ...

The World on Fire: Fantasy Meets the Eighteenth Century
Dislike reading names you can't pronounce? Love novels that give you clear mental images? Like classic fantasy and military history? Well if any of these qualifiers describe your taste, then you'll thoroughly enjoy "A Darkness Forged In Fire" by Chris Evans. As a teen enthralled with Tolkien, Donaldson and others, I didn't mind the intricate detail and stumbling over names. I love both ...

DragonKnight--a Fantastic Book!
DragonKnight is a fantastic fantasy book! It follows two other novels, DragonSpell and DragonQuest, and it is a good addition to the series. I felt that the first six chapters or so dragged a little bit, but it soon picked up the pace and became very interesting. While the first two books were told from Kale's view, this book focuses on Squire Bardon and his adventures. This Christian allegory ...
