Publishers ruin the release of the great series
I have been a big fan of the Witcher books for a long time. I was fortunate to read them all in Russian translation. Here's the deal: the English publisher has skipped "The Sword Of Destiny" that chronologically follows "The Last Wish". The "Sword" introduces the new characters later seen in "The Blood Of Elves". I was deeply disappointed with such move. My wife has read the 1st book and loved ...

Excelent Book
This an very well writen sourcebook that details Golarion elves, bringing to them back to a deep feling of fantasy that reminds me of Lord of the Ring Elves. From the elven cultures to elven foods, feats of archery and the realm of Kyonin, this is a book that fans of Golarion(Pathfinder RPG Setting) and elves must have.

It becomes more interesting with every new book.
I am starting to really enjoy the series of book on the Dark Elves. It is sexy, smart and now I keep wondering if the race will disappear, if the portal to the Goddess will open again, which will be the next woman that will be pleased to the core, and many more. When I finished the first book I thought. Ummmm, lots of eroticism, not much of a story. I gave a second chance. It improved, the ...

A Beautiful Book & Great Story
The illustrations in this book are wonderful. A true artist. Very cleverly hides the elves in each page and its much fun for a 3 year old to find them and the mice and birds too.

The breathtaking second instalment in "The Genesis of Shannara" trilogy,
In a horrifying blend of post-apocalyptic terror and new age urban fantasy, "The Elves of Cintra" continues the story of a world ravaged by nuclear war, plague, pestilence, famine, mindless zombie-like creatures, demons and terrifying creatures born out of devastating mutations. Deaths have numbered in the billions and humanity teeters on the very brink of extinction. Most of those few humans who ...

Great first book in the 'Iron Elves' series by Chris Evans
This is the first book in Chris Evans' 'Iron Elves' series. A red star hurling across the sky has heralded the return of evil times for the Calarhian Empire. To counter this threat to her empire the queen, along with her incompetent son, Prince Tykkin, have deemed it necessary to re-establish the Iron Elves corp (the original group having been disbanded in disgrace some time ago). This 'new' ...

Beautiful keepsake collection of fairy stories
This was another of my childhood favorites that I had been hoping to find in print again. "The Giant Golden Book of Elves and Fairies" is an oversized book that is beautifully illustrated . Here, one will find magical poems of the fairy folk, i.e. pixies, elves, fairies, brownies, leprechauns, and even mermaids and witches! The illustrations are detailed and in full color, enhancing the stories ...

Memorable elves.
This is one of the better versions of this tale that I have seen. Its wording is faithful to the original tale but is accessible also. The illustrations are delightful. Especially the elves, naked and clothed alike. (Some versions of this tale omit the fact that the elves are supposed to be naked initially -- Galdone doesn't hesitate to draw them naked but does so in a way that is sweet, ...

Pulled Me In
From the very start I knew I would love this book. I was right! It is full of adventure and suspence. At some moments it is sad, at some moments it is scary, and at some moments it is happy. It is about two verry diferent girls who become friends and soon they realise that they are more similar than they think. They are named Hilary and Sarah Kate. Hillary is clean and normal. Sarah Kate has a ...

Looking for fantasy and adventure? The Light of Burning Shadows hits the spot!
Review: The Light of Burning Shadows continues the story of the Iron Elves a few months after the end of the Battle of Luuguth Jor depicted in A Darkness Forged in Fire. The Iron Elves have won a reputation as fearsome fighters with unwavering loyalty to the Calharian Empire. Their reward for success and beating suicidal odds? More impossible assignments. Traveling to remote islands and the ...

Great For Everything!
I bought this book because I wanted to transfer the pictures on to fabric so I could do needle work with them. I found about 100 other uses as well. The Pictures were very clear and had bold lines that made it easy to see when tranfered. The faries themselves were very pretty, and even though there were about 50-75 different fairies, they all seemed to have their own personality. I found I ...

Action, Legends, Heroes, Villians, Conspiracies, Betrayal, Friendship...Basically, everything you want in a novel!
I usually gauge a book by when I open it and start reading, and how long I read it in a sitting. I literally couldn't put this one down, starting to read around 9 am and done by 8 pm! I have rarely done that since Harry Potter - I love the story and this series. Excellent Reading! An adventure where the world and all we know about starts to turn upside down. A adventure that takes the reader ...

A book about everything (almost) for everybody (almost)
The title of this review is of course facetious. It's not about everything, but it is about everything that ultimately matters: human beings and the ways they imagine the world and create it; and re-imagine the world and re-create it. In this book, Clifford Pickover in a stream of consciousness and easy to read style gives the reader the tools to better understand the human condition and allow ...

THIS IS THE ULTIMATE AD&D BOOK!
To start this off I will tell you...This book is a total must have for all elf players. Even as a DM I LOVED this book....It is full of neat info about everything that has to do with elves. I loved the new equipment, and the kits were really neat. Also the book is very accurate about the personalitys and different elf subraces. I think this is the best book in the "Complete Book of ________" ...

The Guy with the Difficult Germanic Name to Pronounce Does it Again!
I have been a fan of Kveldulf (HOW do you pronounce that name?) since his first book, "Teuttonic Magic" came out back in the late 1980's. Later I bought his companion book, "Teutonic Religion" and enjoyed the chapter on the Wights as it had quite a bit of lore offered but I knew it was merely a scratch on the surface of what lay below. I had hoped Kvedulf would continue that aspect and lo and ...

Epic journey to the past!
Very rich and ancient, the Elven world of Toril unfolds within these pages that are easily readable, thanks to this author. She is the best this publisher has to offer. Her stunning debut in 1991 was Elfshadow. This gives the reader a thorough background filled with the magic that one comes to expect from Elaine C! Using her "magical sight", Elaine gives the reader a rare glimpse of King Zaor ...

OMG!!! Before you read this book get some ice, a fan and hopefully a man because you will definitley need it. This book is so steamy, pure male domination. So good I read it twice! The author has created a world that makes the reader want to get lost just so they can encouter the dark elves, who want nothing but your total pleasure!
