The Journey: How to Live by Faith in an Uncertain World 30 reviews Billy Graham
W Publishing Group, 2006
The Journey, a very thought provoking guide to life. The Journey is an easily readable, comfortable and understandable book. It is filled with a very special man's understanding, appreciation, and love for God and his fellowman. I contains a lot of common sense wisdom gained over a lifetime of serving God. I enjoyed it's insights. Reading it has made me a better person. I have a greater feeling of being loved by God despite all my faults. I ...

Through Gates of Splendor 35 reviews Elliot, Elisabeth
Hovel Audio, 2005
Excellent book. Although the print is quite small. I loved this book, it is definitely one to keep in my collection. Although I noticed that the type is very small and therefore a bit difficult to read ( and I have good eyesight ). Also I think something should be mentioned co: the pictures in the book, I knew it was tribal but I was not aware that there were photos. I still would have bought the book but I would definitely give it a PG rating.

The Way Of The Master: How to Share Your Faith Simply, Effectively, Biblically-- The Way Jesus Did 27 reviews Ray Comfort, Kirk Cameron
Tyndale House Publishers, 2004
This is eye-opening! I was very skeptical at first when reading the book but it made more sense as I read. Then I actually tried to witness like this and I was AMAZED! People are not offended but are struck silent by what comes out of their mouths. Most of the Evangelical American church does not realize they are preaching a modern gospel. I am doing what I can to preach the truth in love.

The Blogging Church 28 reviews
Jossey-Bass, 2007
Instructive and good for all experience levels Well organized and full of information for both the newbie and also a more experienced blogger who wants to deepen their effectiveness (or experiment more). I work with synagogues, and found the approach of blogging for "ministry" can be useful and much more broadly defined than for churches alone. Very easy to read, full of practical examples.

The Crescent Through the Eyes of the Cross: Insights from an Arab Christian 17 reviews Nabeel T., Dr. Jabbour
NavPress Publishing Group, 2008
A must read Dr. Jabbour has opened our eyes to the Muslim world through the eyes of a Muslim in this book. If you are looking for a non-prejudiced book about Islam, this is it. The fictional characters seem very real as I have met people like this in my travels to Jordan, Israel, and Egypt. Even I, thinking I was not prejudiced, discovered new prejudices and asked God to forgive me. Once I finished the ...

Always Enough: God's Miraculous Provision among the Poorest Children on Earth 24 reviews Rolland and Heidi Baker
Chosen, 2003
lover of books An extremely well written book, that is hard to stop reading.
All serious Christians need to read a book about surrender, humility, and love for
God. As a result of the author's utter dependence upon God and their willingness to
live with and help the "poorest of the poor", they saw miracle after miracle.
Even people laden with disease and hunger and loneliness ran to God when Heidi

I Dared to Call Him Father: The Miraculous Story of a Muslim Woman's Encounter with God 24 reviews

A powerful and moving testimony of God's love and grace Bilquis' story of her search for God and the way He found her shows the depths of his love for lost sinners and the powerful way he draws men to him. As the story unfolds, you can see how God is working out everything in the background, through dreams, events, chance encounters and situations to orchestrate the salvation of her soul. Chasing the Dragon 26 reviews Jackie Pullinger, Andrew Quicke
Hodder & Stoughton Ltd, 2006
A Cherished Addition to My Library I LOVE this book so much because it is one woman's testimony of what GOD did & is doing with her-through her.
HIS HOLY WORD IS TRUE!
HE IS With Us, and just as HE did with the first Disciples of JESUS,
THE HOLY SPIRIT still works with those who preach the Gospel with signs and wonders following, confirming THE WORD.
I must confess, I don't have the book now - I gave it to my daughter.

Speaking the Truth in Love to Mormons 19 reviews Mark J. Cares
Wels Outreach Resources, 1998
Totally different approach This book was SO eye-opening. I've read about 10 other Mormonism analysis books and I've had discussions with Mormons for over six months. This one is definitely the best book on the subject. This book changed everything for me. My eyes were suddenly opened to the idea that I was approaching witnessing entirely wrong. I was getting bogged down with logic and minutia and taking my focus away ...

The Greatest Thing in the World 21 reviews Henry Drummond
Cosimo Classics, 2007
Beautiful Sermon on Love Hadn't read Henry Drummond's book in years, but I recently picked it up again and re-read it and found it had lost none of its power for me. This book can be read in twenty minutes, but it's a twenty minutes that can change your perception of life and love.
Drummond, who was an inspiring liberal-thinking Christian of the 1800's, divides Paul's chapter on love in First Corinthians into three ...

God's Generals: Why They Succeeded and Why Some Failed 25 reviews Roberts Liardon
Albury Publishing, 1996
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly A balanced, thoughtful, entertaining and useful look at some of God's major powerplayers over the past 100 years or so. Concerning the likes of Kuhlman, Wigglesworth and Branham, most writers either choose to vilify them or worship them. Author Roberts Liardon chooses a more accurate middle road that exemplifies a love for the truth combined with his own helpful Pentecostal insights.
This is ...
