If you own a Nikon D300, this book is a must for your library. What the author has done is amazing. I can think of no camera that has a better book to go along with the manual than this one. This book offers ideas and suggestions that I have to go to other books to get. This book is an all in one book. I just hope the author does another on for the Nikon D700. This is a must purchase for ...

Inspiring and Enlightening
Dr. Kaku presents another outstanding book to expand our minds to endless possibilities. Why limit ourselves when we need, more than ever, to think out of the box, and ask the big "what if" questions. In my own writing, vis-i-vis, The Ninth Cube, I have tried to answer these questions, alot of them inspired from the work of Dr. Kaku. I throughly enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone. ...

Spiderwick Chronicles - boxed set of 5 books
After we watched the movie, my daughter wondered why there needed to be a field guide for so few mythological creatures. She was right!!! The movie cut out so many main elements and characters, that the books were a welcome relief to know the story that the authors actually intended to share. The size and storage box make them truly easy to join my other collectables.

Bird Songs book review
I received this book as a gift a few years ago, and since then, I have given 4 of them as gifts to my bird-loving friends! I also shared it with a friend who just turned 3 years old. She enjoyed learning the names of the birds and the sounds they make. I have learned to identify birds by their sounds, without even seeing them!

Fascinating read about the Endurance 50 Challenge
I thoroughly enjoyed Ultramarathon man, so when I heard he was writing another book about his Endurance 50 Challenge I couldn't wait. Karnazes account of his experience running 50 marathons in 50 states has some very good information in it. He, of course, went over the running he'd done to that point, as well the type of running that he had wanted to do, which led to the Endurance 50 challenge. ...

Perfect!
This is the perfect Nikon D40/D40x guide for anyone unfamiliar with DSLRs. I had a somewhat basic understanding of my D40's controls before I bought this book and reading it has made such a difference in my pictures. Highly reccommended!

Awesome - Essential
I bought this on recommendation from my dentist (a father of two). As a first-time mom I don't know what I would have done without it. I read the entire 600+ pages in a single weekend and completely re-worked my registry. I was able to eliminate a lot of unnecessary items that other lists (made by stores and manufacturers) say are essential. I did end up upgrading a couple of items such as the ...

HIS ENDLESS CURIOSITY
Isn't it amazing what a person can accomplish with quiet little "thought experiments" while looking out the window from a job that does not absorb all of the intellect and imagination? Isn't it also interesting that Einstein's best work was accomplished early in his career when he was struggling economically and involved in a tumultuous marriage? Perhaps it shows that a great intellect can ...

Take the kind of guidelines found in the most successful rhetorics. Design them to be as user-friendly as the most popular handbooks. Make it brief. That's The Norton Field Guide . A new kind of rhetoric: Tells students what they need to know, resists the temptation to tell them everything there is to know.

Great for English class
This is a good book if you are taking an English class. It is divided into six sections- Rhetorical Situations, Genres, Processes, Strategies, Research/Documentation, and Media/Design. This book has really helped me in the Research section. I found this book really helpful and I did get great grades on my papers!

As a Physical Therapist, I highly recommend this book.
I am a physical therapist who also enjoys (???) running. This past Fall, I finished my 2nd marathon in Appleton, WI. My first was Grandma's in Duluth, MN in 2002 (before children). This second marathon I used the same program but had to add the walk to run progarm in also as I had a one year old and a two year old at home now! I was not quite in the same shape I had been for the previous ...

EXCELLENT book on how to train for 10K to Marathon distance. Really Works!
If you only buy one book on how to train, this is the one. I tell all my running friends that are looking to go longer distances or get their running to the next level that they need to buy this book and ChiRunning. This one to figure out how fast to run and how to train. ChiRunning to figure out how to run pain free and use gravity to run faster. Buy this book. It has everything you need to ...

Great book for someone he needs to learn all they can about triathlons.
This is a great book for both beginnners and intermediate triathletes. The book contains the basics, as well as advanced techniques, of training. The concept of "periodization" was especially helful for me. It is easy to read and the author fully explains everything. It is does not matter whether you train for sprint events or Iron Man level events, the concepts still apply.

Hands of Light
"Hands of Light" is an informative read that I recommend! I've had my copy for years, and still refer to it fairly often. Since anyone can practice Energy Healing, I suggest this be the book you start with! Whether it's read cover to cover, or just opened to random pages for reference purposes- you will be taught a lot of techniques that Reiki manuals do not focus on, nor explain in depth. ...

It isn't very often a book or an author has an opportunity to change lives and yet Lynne has provoked her readers to embrace a new way of living in this world. It is beyond The Secret, it is about being aware of your thoughts and taking the positive action to correct what is not working - to know that you are in control.
