Passion's Bright Fury
Once again, Radclyffe has written absolutely beautiful, and brilliant prose. This woman must have a vivid imagination, or has lived each of these experiences. I am sufficiently addicted! In this book, Saxon Sinclair is a surgeon, much like the character of Tory King, in the Provincetown Tales. Saxon is totally focused on her work, and hates intrusion. Then Jude Castle, a film-maker ...

Divine Science Fiction of the highest quality.
The Fringe and the Fury is a pleasure to read from the begining to the end. This book is set to change the standards of how science fiction is presumed. Even in the future love, hope, and dedication prevails. You will learn that the feeling of what is wanted can be had. Greed and the wants of self centered individuals fall to their own demise. This book is an adventure and it will hold up well in ...

Path of the Fury
Great, fast paced adventure as I've come to expect from Weber's tales. Unfortunately, Amazon's webpage led me to believe that it was a sequel to Weber's "In Fury Born." They are, in fact, the same book - one in hardcover and one in softcover. Buy one or the other and enjoy!!

The definitive history...
When my husband wanted a good book on the Civil War, a friend recommended Bruce Catton's American Civil War Trilogy. My husband thought it was a fabulous series, so I was determined to read it as well. After finishing the first book, The Coming Fury, I have to agree. Even though The Coming Fury was first published in 1961, it remains one of the definitive books written about the Civil War. ...

More Than Meets The Eye
Charleston, South Carolina, 1821, is the setting for Altonya Washington' novel Passion's Furies. The McIver family were freed blacks, who were able to do many things that blacks only dreamed of doing at that time. Jacinta McIver wanted to see all blacks free and she wanted them to be able to do the same things that she was accustomed to doing. Jacinta was also very involved in the teachings ...

A roaring success!
I came across this book on a visit to St. Louis and grabbed it. It may just be the best book ever written about a tornado--it's riveting start to finish and the spotlight is on people and their lives. It's a great movie in print with a terrific plot, memorable characters and a lot of heroism mixed in.

Cosell and Ali-Media darlings
Sound and Fury (14 hours, 11 cds, unabridged, Blackstone Audio) is a duel biography of Howard Cosell and Mohammed Ali. Sport writer Dave Kindred knew both men, he has written a bio that transcends his knowledge of both men. His text is an honest, no hold barred , warts and all biography. When a third person (like Kindred) writes a biography, he tends to put his personal touches with his own ...

Great But Difficult Novel
This is perhaps the most difficult novel written that's worth the time to read. I'd STRONGLY suggest you buy Volpe's book on Faulkner's Novels to read along with it first. Volpe breaks down the points at which a different charecter takes over the narrative. After that, try it yourself, but Volpe is the best guide for the person new to Faulkner's harder(hardest)work. The Norton Edition has a great ...

Excellent
Captian's Fury is an excellent continuation of the very good series of books. A difficult book to put down once you start with enough twists to keep you guessing to the end yet not lose you along the way. Already anxious to get the next one.

kiss of fury
this was a great book. a second in a series. I can't wait to read the next one. Deb Cooke can keep your attention and make you not want to put the book down until you read the last page. Even then I still wanted to keep reading. The adventure never stops and the pages seem to sizzle in your hand. Great read.

Dragon?s Fury, High Tide, Volume III
In Volume III of the Dragon's Fury series, Mr. Head continues his saga of World War III covering air, naval, and land engagements on all seven continents and oceans. Most frighteningly, his story illustrates the realistic and probable levels of conventional warfare in a world war within the next few years, requiring only slight advances in technology and the continuation of current political and ...

A comprehensive chronology of Jewish resistence to the Nazis and their collaborators from the late 30's through the war. It also details complicity of the Central and Eastern Europeans with the Nazis, the apathy of the "Allies" during the war, and the shameful behavior of the world after the war with respect to refugees, Nazi criminals and Israel. This book will make you proud if your Jewish ...

What a fantastically frightening book!
Dean Lombardo's "Vespa" (that's non-English for "wasp," not the famous Italian scooter that was named after the sound a wasp makes) is a delightfully scary page-turner! Full of viscerally creepy frights, the prose (like Mother Nature herself) pulls no punches, coldly and methodically describing what would happen if the planet decided to throw a new predator into the food chain at the same level ...

James McCudden's book is one of the finest written about aviation of the first world war. It is basically written by a man who was a hero who was very modest, It takes the form of a diary and gives more or less a day to day event of what it was really like to fly planes made of canvas against an enemy who McCudden had great respect for. For anyone who has a passion for first world war history ...

This author knows a winner when he sees one!
As an author (Blue Street) I have great expectations for a first time novelist and Erika Michelle hasn't let me down. With pure talent, she found the right brush by which to paint her story. She has a unique gift for believable and street-wise dialog with plenty of imagery and real situations. I enjoyed the story and found myself easily drawn into the plot. Even when I had other demands on my ...
