F. Scott Fitzgerald's the Great Gatsby 1 review
Monarch Notes, 1984
Maybe Gatsby wasn't great, but the story is... There is a reason why this is required reading in advanced literature classes throughout the country. This is without a doubt one of the best tales ever told. It should be used as an example to any aspiring writer of what great writing can be. The thing that makes it so great is Fitzgerald's ability to formulate characters, both large and small, and his ability to have them interact in a ...

Der Grobe Gatsby/the Great Gatsby 2 reviews F. Scott Fitzgerald
Distribooks Inc, 1994
The Great Gatsby Along with its amazing choice of words and indescribable wit, The Great Gatsby has become the greatest novel an American author has ever written. F. Scotts Fitzgerald's genuine look into "The Roaring Twenties" gives us a view of a "lost generation" of aristocratic life and the American dream. It must be analyzed and compared to our time in the late 1990's and early second millenia. This ...

How To Die: or The Good Gatsby 8 reviews Wm., Douglas Warren
AuthorHouse, 2006
The Good Gatsby is seriously GREAT. This book is amazing. I bought it one evening and had it read by the next afternoon. It was too good to put down. Honestly, if you are looking for something creative, hilarious, and a little off-beat, this is it. The only time I could ever put this book down was when I was laughing too hard to continue. The Good Gatsby is seriously GREAT.

The Great Gatsby 2 reviews F Scott Fitzgerald
Recorded Books, LLC, 1984
Fantastic reading Frank Muller was a fantastic narrator. He reads Gatsby fabulously - and I enjoy the writing very much.
I've listened to this book 3 times and I have listened to many other books read by Frank Muller. Amongst these books were some of the Dark Tower series (which are fantastic). Frank is easily one of my favorite performers and was a truly great loss in the field.

Gatsby Songs: From the Opera The Great Gatsby 1 review
Associated, 1999
Sheet music songs Formatted as sheet music songs (not arias), these excerpts from the opera by John Harbison--one of America's greatest living composers--ought to be in every singer's repertory. Getting copyright for actual Gatsby-era tunes was too expensive, so Harbison created his own (he played jazz in his younger days).

F. Scott Fitzgerald: Trimalchio: An Early Version of 'The Great Gatsby' (The Cambridge Edition of the Works ... 4 reviews F. Scott Fitzgerald
Cambridge University Press, 2000
A Must-Read for Gatsby/Fitzgerald Fans I first encountered "The Great Gatsby" in 11th grade and its sheer lyric beauty has transfixed me to the point of at least 4 readings per year ever since. Therefore, "Trimalchio" was a joy for me to read and I believe it will bring the same amount of happiness to fellow Fitzgerald fans. The book is a brief read at only 146 pages of actual text,( as opposed to "Gatsby's" 189 in the most recent ...

Literature Guide: The Great Gatsby 2 reviews Kristen Bowers
Secondary Solutions, 2005
The best I've seen! This guide is really helpful. The Great Gatsby is such a tough book to teach and I have struggled to teach the novel without good materials. I have made up quizzes and tests for the novel that don't come anywhere close to these. Plus, the vocabulary reinforcement with worksheets throughout that give the students extra practice with test-taking skills is great! I cannot wait to start the year ...

Gatsby brings back the atmosphere of the roaring 20s F.S. Fitzgerald had successfully depicted the glamorous lives of the American upper class during the 1920s. The Great Gatsby (Critics Debate) 1 review F. Scott Fitzgerald, Stephen Matterson
Humanities Press Intl Inc, 1990
Great Gatsby is best book I have ever read in high school!! Skim the first few chapters and get into a the good stuff. The book gives great historical information pertaining to the 1920s, when women were interested in breaking the rules of the culture. It goes on to prove that the American Dream is unobtainable to Gatsby. He can have all the money in the world, and throw the best of all parties, but he lacks Daisy. Which goes on to prove the point ...
