WOW!
Unveiled: Tamar (The Lineage of Grace Series #1) What a GREAT Book! I absolutely did not want to put it down. When I did, I was so into it that I remembered where I left off and what had been going on. While it is a "Novella" therefore considered "fiction" I found that it followed scripture, simply turning it into a detailed story. I found the book intriguing and really enjoyed the Bible Study ...

Timeless Classic
John Milton's "Paradise Lost" is a timeless classic. It's imagery, based itself upon 1500 years of previous Christian-cultural imagery, has shaped how the Western world views Christianity, sin, the fall, life, death, heaven, and hell. The open-minded non-Christian reader would do well to read "Paradise Lost" to become a literate student of Christian imagery. The Christian, willing to work ...

Still hoping............
I have been reading ALL this stuff for at least 35+ years. I still have all of it (including dear old Von Danniken)and NOBODY EVER "proves" anything! Indus Valley script still an enigma? That "Keeper of Antiquities" clown in Egypt who accepts foreign money for exploration, then slaps the lid on the results? On and on goes the list of teases...but never anything DEFINITIVE. Because where I ...

Building the magic
In my work I'm at Walt Disney World every week, and the more I research it the more impressed I am. It is a place of boundless imagination. After Walt Disney's original vision, the bulk of the creative work has been in the capable hands of the Disney Imagineers. This book profiles 30 of these Disney artists and engineers. Although you could argue about the list (I'd love to see Mary Blair, but ...

Mr. Fix It Pleases the Senses
If reading a book is like eating a meal, then reading Mr. Fix It is like eating a gourmet meal. This is the first book that I have read by Ms. Hubbard, and I can tell you honestly, I was blown away at the skill of her writing. I have read few other books that gave me the impression that the author was a wordsmith. One example is Judith Ivory, who is not prolific, but beautifully writes historical ...

great book
this was a great joining of the void series with the shannara series. had wondered for years how the great wars came about when they were described in the shannara series. also about the elves. was good to read about a "good" happening to the knights of the word. have all of the books by terry brooks. hope to read still more in the future. recommend this to complete the set.

Great Story
I am one of those readers who doesn't like, or dislike, any specific genre. My only goal is to find a great story that I can get lost in, and boy did this do it for me! I love all the characters, as they are so well developed. You watch them all have ups and downs, go through good and bad, and react according to their nature (which may not be what you expect). Great read!

The Gold Standard
John Loftus presents a thorough, honest, reasonable and accurate case for why he is an atheist, and more to the point, why Christianity should be rejected. This is a book to be read cover to cover, as each chapter builds on the chapters before it. He makes an excellent case for the position we should take in evaluating Christianity. Many people get trapped in circularity by arguing from within ...

The definitive Paradise Lost resource
It is a laborious read, but John Milton's Paradise Lost is worth it. First published in 1667, Paradise Lost remains, many contend, the greatest poem ever published in English, and Milton is deemed second only to Shakespeare among the pantheon of English writers. When reading Milton, be prepared for hundreds of references to Greek and Roman mythology that few of us (myself included) are familiar ...

Loving Thy Neighbor
What a DELIGHTFUL romantic treat! Although I have a few of Michele Sudler's novels, this is the FIRST one I've actually read. I was CAPTIVATED from the first page. Ms. Sudler tackles several issues confronting women of all ages with regards to the dating scene. I enjoyed the matchmaking schemes of Kayla's best friend, Wanda and her two lovable teenage daughters. Ms. Sudler weaves a touching, ...

Great story
I loved and really enjoyed this book. It was a sweet, funny, romantic book. The characters were great both the main and the secondary characters. I loved the twins, they were LOL funny. The little boy was too cute, adorable and lovable for words. Without that little boy I think the story would have been less than it was.

TOC Works Now - But Line Breaks Are Problematic
I had left an earlier review mentioning that the links in the newly added Table of Contents didn't work. The publisher had left a comment as to what had happened and when a corrected edition would be available with working TOC links. I just redownloaded the book today and I am happy to say that the links now work. There is still one Kindle formatting issue and that is that the text breaks at the ...

Great but short
This is a great interpretation and summary of the old and new testament. I have some very minor theological quibbles with the summary but it is easy to see that this was a labour of love for both Siku and Akin. I love the application of a lot of manga styles to the story and art. I only wish it was longer and in colour - much like the gorgeous Heavy Metal work Siku has done in the past. I ...

About the Big Bang
This book presents a compelling argument that the events of the billions of years that cosmologists say followed the Big Band and those of the first six days described in Genesis are, in fact, one and the same----identical realities described in vastly different terms. Using language easily understod, Dr. Schroeder reconciles the observale facts of science with the very essence of Western ...

More Than Meets The Eye
Charleston, South Carolina, 1821, is the setting for Altonya Washington' novel Passion's Furies. The McIver family were freed blacks, who were able to do many things that blacks only dreamed of doing at that time. Jacinta McIver wanted to see all blacks free and she wanted them to be able to do the same things that she was accustomed to doing. Jacinta was also very involved in the teachings ...

I was so excited when I came across a copy of this book, and it is an amazing read, that takes us through the lives of four incredible young women later to be mothers of the Nation of Israel. Life Changing
There are hosts of people for whom reading the Bible has been a life-changing experience. Reading this book was a life-changing experience for me as it changed the way I read the Bible. Alter shows Genesis as a work of literature. This doesn't mean that it holds no timeless truths. Rather the reverse. The fact that Genesis was written with a spirit beyond that found in a mere journalistic ...
