Schwartz & Wade, 2006
Kids will love this book Parents and kids alike will love this book. It has so many hidden lessons like cooperation, friendship, sharing, tolerance and the power of persuasion. It also is great to read to a group because it has an element of suspense and surprise. Great illustrations.

My First Real Mother Goose 7 reviews Blanche Fisher Wright
Cartwheel, 2000
Great Book My son has loved this book from day one. He is almost 2 1/2, and we are on our 2nd copy. He calls it baa baa. He asks to have it read over and over again. I never heard of many of the nursery rhymes, but who cares. He loves it, and that is what matters.

. This book is an absolute necessity for anyone who is around children or, even moreso, a child at heart. The nursery rhymes of Mother Goose are classic and enduring, and this collection, with its vivid illustrations, bring to life so many familiar and wonderfully non-familiar poems.

Mary Engelbreit's Mother Goose: One Hundred Best-Loved Verses 20 reviews
HarperCollins, 2005
a must for every child's library This is one of my favorite children's books. The classic Mother Goose tales coupled with Mary Engelbreit's beautiful illustrations makes this a must for every child's library. I originally purchased this book for my "Grandma Hope Chest" but it has now become a traditional shower gift. If you are looking for the perfect Mother Goose book this is the one for you.

Snow Goose 44 reviews Paul Gallico
Knopf, 1941
AN ADMIRABLE CHARACTER TAKES FLIGHT Paul Gallico is not a novelist. His talent lies in his ability to tell beautiful and inspiring short stories that are a joy to read. The Snow Goose is one of my favorites and I have read and re-read it many times over my lifetime, each time gaining new insight into the author and his characters. At the risk of being accused of blasphemy, it is my opinion that The Snow Goose could have appeared ...

Mother Goose Numbers on the Loose 1 review Leo & Diane Dillon
Harcourt Children's Books, 2007
Numbers on the loose This is a great book. It has a few Mother Goose rhymes I didn't even know about. My grandkids love it. We can read the rhymes, but we can also discuss the wonderful illustrations and make up even more stories. This is one of my favorites.

My Very First Mother Goose 35 reviews
Candlewick, 1996
My very favorite Mother Goose book Publisher's Weekly called this book "exuberant" and that's exactly the right word for it. Bright primary colors make up this book, and Rosemary Wells' adorable characters populate the rhymes. Unlike some Mother Goose books, this one is meaty -- it boasts 108 pages, with a rhyme on almost every page. That's a lot of nights of Mother Goose at bedtime.
Nursery rhymes help build phonological ...

Duck, Duck, Goose 7 reviews Tad Hills
Schwartz & Wade, 2007
This is a great book My 2 year old daughter received this book recently for her birthday and it is great. Tad Hills' ability to mix sarcasm and wit into a children's story is impressive. Of the 50 or so books she has, I put this in the top 5 that *I* enjoy reading. There aren't too many of those, especially when they get read several times a week.
I'm now looking to buy DUCK AND GOOSE.

Wild Goose Chase: A Quilting Mystery 11 reviews Terri Thayer
MIDNIGHT INK, 2008
A great book I thought Dewey was a great protagonist. Growing up in the heart of Silicon Valley myselt, I really enjoyed all the familiarity with the neighborhoods. She was spot on in her descriptions. What a fun way to relive our local PIQF when it won't be back for another 6 months!-Not that PIQF would actually have a murder occur at it...I can't wait for the next installment.

Excellent! Ron Roy can work wonders with his books! The Goose's Gold is the book when Dink, Josh, and Ruth Rose go to Florida to visit Ruth Rose's grandmother. Something fishy is going on though. This book is excellent!

Favorite Nursery Rhymes from Mother Goose 9 reviews
The Greenwich Workshop Press, 2007
Choose this over other Mother Goose collections This collection stands out in both the quality of production of the book and content. The pages are sturdy, the colors vibrant and the layout accessible. Only one Mother Goose rhyme is depicted for each double-page spread. Many other collections have several rhymes on one page, making a cluttered feeling and undeveloped illustrations. Gustafson's paintings are whimsical and not at all ...

Original Mother Goose 8 reviews Blanche Fisher Wright
Running Press Kids, 1992
The Original is Still the Best Save us from historical revisionists like Ms. Takahashi, who clearly has no idea of the origins of the Mother Goose nursery rhymes or the harsh conditions that existed in England when the rhymes developed. Social class division, beating, and animal cruelty were facts of life. Certainly the subject matter can be a little grisly, but infants don't care -- they love the sing-song quality of the ...

Here Comes Mother Goose (My Very First Mother Goose) 12 reviews
Candlewick, 1999
Love it, love it, love it !!! We bought this book for my son when he was around 15 months old. He would spend hours carrying this book from one person to the next, wanting it to be read over and over. The repetition, the rhyming, and the order of each chapter seemed to just resonate with him. He absolutely loved it and still does. He is almost five years old now and will still take it out of his collection for bedtime ...
