Gordon Ramsay's Playing with Fire: Raw, Rare to Well Done1 review
Gordon Ramsay

Harper, 2007

ramsay on fire and food
Bought this book at Gatwick Airport to read on the way back from London.Found it interesting as it tells of his first ventures into the restaurant business and of his relationship with his father-in law. So in that way it differs from his other books.Passengers on the plane saw me reading the book and said thier son was a chef for Gordon Ramsay at Claridge's in London...

Kitchen Heaven1 review
Gordon Ramsay

Penguin Global, 2005

A highly rewarding take on cooking to perfection.
`Kitchen Heaven' by the very English chef / restauranteur / BBC Culinary personality, Gordon Ramsay is a book done in connection with Ramsay's BBC TV series, `Kitchen Nightmares' where Ramsay examines a failing restaurant and makes a series of recommendations for how to improve the restaurant's business fortunes. This book focuses almost exclusively on good recipes as a means of burnishing a ...

Gordon Ramsay's Secrets10 reviews
Gordon Ramsay, Roz Denny, ...

Quadrille Publishing Ltd, 2004

Excellent Book with Delicious Results!
I bought this book after seeing all the Gordon Ramsey TV shows. His food sounded so good I simply had to try it. True to his creed on his shows, his food is (mostly) simple. Some recipes take a little more effort, but certainly are not difficult. The extra effort is due to the complete refusal to use short cut ingredients and pre made anything. His recipes require fresh ingredients, no ...

A Chef for All Seasons11 reviews
Gordon Ramsay, Roz Denny

Quadrille Publishing Ltd, 2002

Excellent Addition to the Gordon Ramsay French/Scottish repitoire
`A Chef for All Seasons' by the English high tempered chef, Gordon Ramsay looks like and is very much of a `follow the trend' book, just as `healthy eating' and `quick cooking' themes are bandwagons on which cookbook writers jump to squeeze another ounce of interest out of their audience for their latest book. Unlike some other seasonally or calendar oriented books such as Alfred Portale's `The ...

Gordon Ramsay's Three Star Chef1 review
Gordon Ramsay

Key Porter Books, 2008

This is an eye opener for all home cooks.
As a home cook, things were simple and fulfilling. I opted to purchase this book to see what makes a 3 star Michelin service. I was pleasantly surprised that Gordon Ramsay had the same (relatively) approach. Simple, fantastic food. This book opened my eyes to making simple dishes into what he has made fantastic food. I do have this warning: THIS IS NOT FOR THE NOVICE COOK. ...

Gordon Ramsay's Sunday Lunch: And Other Recipes from the " F Word " : And Other Recipes from " The F Word "1 review

Quadrille Publishing Ltd, 2006

The Man Knows His Stuff
I am a typical male, not a very good cook, but fortunately I know someone who is, my wife. So rather than buy the book for myself I saw it as a good opportunity to kill two birds with one stone so to speak. A present for my wife with the added attraction of getting some of Gordon's meals thrown in, without having to pay restaurant prices. By chef's own admission the food is simple, but ...

Gordon Ramsay's Fast Food: Recipes from "The F Word" (UK Hardcover)2 reviews
Gordon, 2007

Excellent cookbook
This is by far the best cookbook I own. His recipes are all quick to make but taste like you spent hours. He uses an easy to understand approach to his recipes plus gives you a list of common things that everyone should keep in their kitchen for quick gourmet meals. We've cooked for friends with these recipes on several occasions and they keep asking when they can come back!

Gordon Ramsay's Just Desserts3 reviews

Want to impress?
No wonder he's a star in Britain. Fabulous, imaginative recipes covering everything from easy cook basics to recipes you definitely need to practice! Examples - red berries with hibiscus and basil syrup; slow roasted peaches with orange caramel sauce; chocolate and thyme ice cream; apricot and cinnamon mousse; fruit tempura and many more. Not a book for beginners (he is a Michelin 3 Star chef) ...

Humble Pie40 reviews
Gordon Ramsay

HarperCollins Entertainment, 2006

Change the way you view Gordon!
One of the many complaints about Gordon Ramsay is his harshness. Many people I know dislike him because of his treatment and apparent belittlement of his contestants on Hell's Kitchen. (Season 1 now available on DVD - Hell's Kitchen: Season 1) Read this book and you will have that feeling no more. The best attribute of this book for me was reading about all of his life experiences and to ...

Gordon Ramsay's Passion for Seafood6 reviews
Gordon Ramsay, Roz Denny

Conran Octopus, 2000

Cooking great seafood in delicious, yet simple ways
I love to cook, yet strangely I can't cook seafood as well I should be able. I bought this book in an attempt to remedy that. The recipes aren't complicated or overdone, yet every one of the dishes I have made were excellent, even when I made a mistake on one of them. I did have a few issues with the UK English to US English translation of a few items, like 'groundnut oil" is peanut oil. ...

His passion became my passion
Gordan Ransay's Passion for Flavours quickly became one of my favorite book. Not one of my favorite RECIPE books, but one of my favorite books I've ever read. All those mouthwatering recipes, in those bright, colorful pictures, makes me want to try them every weekend - it's when I have time to cook. A must be in every collection of those who love to cook for your beloved ones. This book made ...

Fast and delicious recipes!
I am amazed by how simple and fast of all the recipes within the book! I was skeptical about the quality of a fast meal but after having a few tryouts with some of the recipes I was blown away! Even my friends can't believe how easy and delicious it could be! Highly recommended for 20s-30s who stays alone and away from home :P

Weidenfeld Nicolson Illustrated

Tiny book & over priced
I figured this cookbook would be the same as most, large pages and full of recipies. No, it has 10 recipies and the original price was $2 US. Needless to say, I was disappointed since I paid $30 and was expecting a real cookbook.

Great book for Ramsey fans
This was a great book. It really gives you insight to his behavior. (which is not bad) It was a page turner, and I finished it in a weekend. He really had alot of disappointments in life but turned it all around. It gives you inspiration. If you like Gordon, this is a must read.
