Heart Of Texas Vol. 3: Nell's Cowboy\Lone Star Baby (Heart of Texas (Harlequin)) 6 reviews Debbie Macomber
Mira, 2008
ENGROSSING! I love Macomber's stories about real people with individual attitudes and personalities--people we would like as friends. She never disappoints with her themes of friendship, hope, personal growth, and always happy endings. Thankfully, her stories and characters are so engrossing she has no need to "spice up" her books with unwelcome intimate details. I recommend this book along with a ...

Loving Evangeline (Bestselling Author Collection) 29 reviews Linda Howard
Harlequin, 2008
Wonderful story. Intense emotions. "He done her wrong" and she found out. I didn't want it to end. Robert's passion at the end was mesmerizing. This passion made him one of my favorite types of romance novel heroes. Definitely recommended. Sexual language: mild. Number of sex scenes: ten. Setting: current day small town in Alabama. Copyright: 1994. Genre: contemporary romance with a little suspense.

Harlequin, 2008
FULL OF SPARKS, EXCITEMENT & DANGER! WOW!!! THERE'S A SERIAL KILLER LOOSE AND ALL OF HIS VICTIMS LOOK A LOT LIKE CLUB SINGER JESS BAXTER. THE FBI'S PROFILE OF THE SERIAL KILLER IS A WHITE MALE IN HIS PRIME, TRAVELS A LOT, NO FAMILY, CARRIES A CONCEALED WEAPON AND WAS ABUSED IN CHILDHOOD. I ESPECIALLY LIKED THE MYSTERY SURROUNDING ROB CARPENTER AND THE WAY THE FBI WERE PORTRAYED AS REALLY COMPASSIONATE AND DETERMINED IN THE COURSE OF ...

The Harlequin (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, Book 15) 224 reviews Laurell K. Hamilton
Berkley Hardcover, 2007
About time the girl woke up and got back to kicking butts giving out sass. I missed the tough skinned Anita, and now we got her back. The past few books have been to sappy and over sexed to the point of boredom. I cherished that some of my favorites have returned and LOVE the fact Anita is finally getting her backbone and smart-mouth self back in the picture for readers to enjoy. The helpless maiden bit was getting old. If I wanted to deal with over emotional whiney ...

The Harlequin (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter) 10 reviews Laurell K. Hamilton
Jove, 2008
Hamilton does it again! I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I read it all in one night-sitting and was very pleased with the result. Sure, its got your recent sex-driven back plot, but this book goes beyond that, and really Anita makes a comeback in this one. If you've made it this far, don't trot away yet! This one is the one you'll want to read. :) I've liked it much better than the last three!

The Donovan Legacy: Captivated/ Entranced/ Charmed 73 reviews Nora Roberts
Harlequin, 1999
The Donovan Legacy I had read the Nora Roberts novel "Entranced" several years ago and always wanted to read the books for the other two Donovan cousins, but never got around to it. A few months ago I picked up this book (which has all three novels in it) and read straight through the entire thing in a few days! The three stories are "Captivated," "Entranced," and "Charmed." "Captivated" centers around the first ...

McKettrick's Pride (The McKettrick Series #7) 13 reviews Linda Lael Miller
Harlequin Books, 2007
Unputdownable! It's really a toss up for me which of the McKettrick stories I liked the best. I loved them all. Rance McKettrick is a widower with two small girls and a meddling mother-in-law. He's all business in his three piece suits, no fun, no sense of humor and travels all over the world leaving his daughters behind, troubled by how his marriage was less than perfect when his wife died. Then Echo Wells, ...

Polly (The Best of Betty Neels) 1 review Betty Neels
Harlequin, 2008
Love Exists for the plain brainy daughters too ! Cover: Working for Professor Sam Gervis was difficult enough, even if you hadn't fallen in love with him. But Polly had. Luckily she was realistic. Sam was engaged to the lovely Deirdre, and besides, he would never look twice at anyone as quiet and mousy as her. So Polly sensibly decided to get away and take up a new career nursing children. But she soon discovered that Sam wasn't a man to ...
