It's A Masterpiece
Amy Goldman so captures the magic of heirloom tomatoes the reader almost inhales that distinct summer fragrance with every turn of the page. Each tomato has a carefully researched history and sometimes even a romance shared with the reader. I especially value the detailed notes on each variety for sweetness, flavor, texture and general growing information. Victor Schrager's tomato photographs ...

Best baby cookbook ever
This was the first baby cookbook I ever purchased. My little girl is now 2 years old and I still use the cookbook. I make meals and snacks for her and myself using the book. The delicious recipes are just the bonus to this great book. The information about food and children was especially beneficial. If anyone I know is having a baby I get them this book.

Best book out there!
Wonderfull! This is the best book out there, I bought many but this one was by far the best! My daughter was only 10 months old when diagnosed. Initially I thought, it wouold be pretty easy to avoid gluten, oh well it's not and I got a bit overwhelmed I still sometimes do! It's hidden in labels such as "natural flavoring" or "coloring" ect. , who knew Soysauce is highly glutenous and while Malt ...

Wonderful Cookbook!
I'm not a vegan or vegetarian (but I don't each much meat or dairy,) but I love this cookbook! The book is wonderful--entertaining, educational and, most importantly, it is filled with glorious and interesting recipes with flavors from around the world. This book is great for beginning and advanced vegan cooks. For beginners, the book includes basics for what food to stock in your pantry, ...

Great!!!
Ever since I bought my wife this book and the ice cream attachment for the Kitchen Aid mixer, my life has gotten much better. Most of my favorite Ben and Jerry's ice creams are in here and they taste almost exactly like the real thing! If you own an ice cream maker, this is definitely part of the required reading!

Great Cookbook
I have had this for a couple of months now and have tried many recipes. All good. Some fantastic! I have no complaints but will say that I have an Z- induction cooker (lucky me) and the instructions that she gives to saute' in the cooker sometimes don't work out so well for me. It'll get real hot for about a minute and then go off and on, so it takes too long and then my cooker is too hot ...

A heartfelt ODE to Prime MEAT and good ANIMAL HUSBANDRY
This book was my first exposure to Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, and it was long overdue. After having read it, I hope to eventually acquire ALL of the author's other books. I've reviewed more than my fair share of culinary offerings, but this one easily elbowed it's way into my tight list of top favorites. I felt an immediate connection with the author, who clearly resonates to the reality ...

Fabulous book
I have at least four other raw food cookbooks. The recipes in them always have a thousand ingredients and take forever to produce. I wind up not using them because of the exotic ingredients or the time it takes to make the food. Soaking, cutting, blending, juicing, dehydrating, all in one recipe usually! This book uses simple, available ingredients and a minimum of time to prepare. I can ...

THIS BOOK CHANGED MY LIFE!
I LOVE THIS BOOK! THIS WAS MY FIRST BOUTENKO BOOK. ANY ONE EATING A SAD DIET (STANDARD AMERICAN DIET) WHO WANTS TO CHANGE AND DOESN'T KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN SHOULD READ THIS BOOK! I BOUGHT ALL THE RAW FAMILY BOOKS AFTER I READ THIS ONE. BUT MOST HAVE THE SAME BASIC RECIPES WITH A FEW NEW ONES. SAME THING WITH INFO. BUT THEY ARE A FAMILY BUSINESS PROMOTING HEALTHY INFO SO I DON'T MIND HAVING THEM ...

A must have
I confess that my husband and I have something of a cookbook fetish. We have, however, invested in some books that didn't prove worthwhile and so before shelling out the money for Giada's books, I decided I would check them out from the library, make some recipes, and go from there. I wanted to know if the recipes were as good as she makes them look on the show and if, upon tasting it, my ...

Highly Recommend
I recently received this this cookbook as a gift. I am a big fan of the Moosewood collection, but this is by far my favorite cookbook. The recipes are not only delicious, but they are so easy to make. The shopping list for most of these recipes is short and cheap. They are quick and easy to prepare, yet inspire additions and creativity. I cannot say enough good things about this book, and ...

Nutritional info included!
We love this book! It has some of the best recipes that we have ever made! It is quite extensive and has broadened our tastes into grains and beans that we have never even heard of before. Finding some of the ingredients was a little tricky at first, then we started to let our fingers do the walking and had better luck finding some of the odd ingredients at the smaller ethnic stores and health ...

WOW! Yum
Everything I've tried from this book so far has been unbelievably delicious. The citrus roasted lobster and citrus lobster salad are a home run. I wasn't too sure about the marinade ingredients (combining citrus juices with fish sauce and mint leaves?) but I recalled that the kitchen testers from Gourmet Mag. said everything was amazing, so I gave it a try and I'm glad I did. As far as the ...
