I'm a researcher working in Belize and this map was very helpful. The 2001 edition is still useful (in 2004) but Belize is improving its roads rapidly and many roads are in better condition (i.e. paved) than indicated on the map. We used the Moon Handbook Fiji and the Lonely Planet Fiji books along with this map and got along fine. All three were useful for different purposes. I am a research entomologist studying certain groups of insects on New Guinea. Frequently, localities mentioned on sample data labels (villages and small towns)are on not indicated on most atlas maps. The map is surprisingly up to date -- surprising because other maps I have looked at are not. It is rather detailed and also contains a plan of the subway system, including lines that are still under construction such as the one connecting Beijing with the airport. Highly recommended.

Quite a nice map
This is an excellent map. It helped us wander our way through Baja over spring break. It's plasticized material stands up to all kinds of abuse, and it contains an impressive amount of detail and useful information. Couple it with The Rough Guide to Baja California (Rough Guide Travel Guides) and you're ready for a guide time.
The only other map for Baja I'd recommend is the AAA one, ...

It contains names of small cities as well as the larger,
well- known places. As we traveled we could easily locate the
major roads between departments. When it was necessary to use
winding rural dirt roads the assistance of local drivers was required.

Excellent map.
Was very helpful. Don't go on guided tours. With this map and a rental vehicle ($60 a day) you will have a terrific time. Spend at least a week. Leave by nine a.m. and you will have the quarry to yourself. An hour later all the tour groups start arriving and by 11:30 the hoards are everywhere. With you own vehicle you will stop at lots of places not visited by the tour groups.

This large map shows everything in great detail with the various points of interest marked and identified (palace,the museums,even some of the hotels) so easy to plan a route. It even shows which streets are pedestrian only which is a great help. The guide books were great at telling me what to see, but not very good at how to get there.
