Simple explanation of a complex issue...
As a surrogate mom, I am always intrigued with the creative ideas authors have come up with to explain infertility to children at a young age. This book explains in simple terms, the concept of egg donation. It begins simple enough with the desire to have a child and that two parts are needed, one from a male and one from a female. (You will not find graphic sperms and eggs here. This is an ...

Make Fun Memories and Promote Active Habits, Develop Cognitive Functioning
I bought this book when my daughter was about 8 months old and wish I bought it sooner. It is a fun and playful book that gives parents great ideas for age-appropriate activities for baby. It is perfect for working parents who want to have special, fun activities during their time together or stay at home parents looking for ways to engage their babies. There is always something new to try and ...

Excellent Book
My daughter has loved this book since she was four months old. The pictures describe the text and each picture foreshadows the next action. For example, the dark cloud appears in the sky before the line "Down came the rain". The illustrator has also added a bird that watches the spider in all the pictures. This extra feature will delight older children and adds more interest to the "story". ...

Teletubbies Play Hide-and-Seek
My 8-month old daughter LOVES this book! It makes her laugh out loud and she already has figured out how to lift the flaps on her own when we read it! It's a cute little book for babies and toddlers. I don't mind the Teletubbies so much anymore! :-)

Great traditional song/story in sturdy book with Tabs, so cute.
I found this book at Kohl's to mail (nice size) to my 4 year old grandson, to be read by Mom or Dad to him, and little sister, 5 months. It is a 'keeper' with the traditional song and story that I learned when I was a child. It is wonderful to preserve a very old song.

18-month old yogi
I've just begun to use this book, and it is fantastic. My 18-month old son is very active and really enjoys trying out different poses after watching me do a short routine. He especially likes down dog, which is not surprising given that babies like to look at the world from different vantage points. The author gives good advice on how to instruct your child using simple language and keeps the ...

The Itsy Bitsy Spider
ISBN 1879085771 - If you're foolish enough to take on generations-old childrens' songs, you'd better do a very good job or expect to be tarred and feathered! I was, honestly, all set to hate this book... but Trapani did a fantastic job. You know the story, you don't really need a recap. Spider, spout, rain, etc. Trapani, however, has added 5 new verses, giving our spider friend several new ...

Great Addition to the Standard Nursery Rhymes
My two year old daughter loves this book! It continues the story of the itsy bitsy spider after she gets washed out of the water spout: "The itsy bitsy spider climbed up the water spout. Down came the rain and washed the spider out. 'Yikes,' said the spider, 'I've got to use my brain and figure out a way to not get wet again.'" She gets a job to earn money and eventually is able to afford an ...

Not for Itsy Bitsy Babies
So, this is a board book, and quite a cute one at that, and the colors and stories are very much for young children, but due to construction the warning, "Not suitable for Children Under 36 months due to small parts" appears on the back cover. We noticed it after purchase and now have to wait to give it to our son. We were very surprised that the book appeared to be created for infants and then ...

Confusing, but the kids seem to like it
To be honest, I'm fairly clueless about these dancing fat English things with TVs in their abdomens. And my little grandkids don't seem to like them much either. But I have two teenage grandchildren, and they always seem to put the tapes in late at night, especially when they get home from a big party wearing those glow-in-the-dark bracelets. They lie around and watch the show, and they read ...

Delightful book - beautiful drawings & color
This is a delightful book for kids. It shows just about every Alaska animal and some that you rarely see like the illusive ice worm. The drawings are very cute and the color of each is really stunning. What I like about the book is that instead of just being an ABC book or a book listing animals, it's a book that teaches kids about sizes. Each animal is described as 'itsy bitsy or huge or very ...

The itsy bitsy spider--again, and again!
This book is a great deal of fun to read with preschoolers. My 4-yr-old reads along each page while we sing the rhyme. Each page has just enough words on it, not too many to be overwhelming. The illustrations are classic, engaging Rosemary Wells. I also have a 2-yr-old who "reads" along too--thank goodness for it being a board book! We have many books by Ms. Wells in the house. It is nice ...

Clear coverage of Civil Procedure concepts
CivPro is notoriously the most difficult first-year course. F&P, while not simplifying the material, does help make the material more comprehensible. The authors use a socratic method in the casebook. If you read the case and work through the questions after the case, you should have a pretty good understanding of the case and why the authors included it. They also, and this will kill some who ...

Itsy Bitsy Spider with CD and puppet
My young daughter LOVES this book. She asks me to put on the CD and then runs to get the hand puppet so she can sing along and act out the story. It also contains several other short songs with numbers, that really helped her learn to count.

My 1-year-old LOVES this book!!
I found this book at the library and it quickly became my daughters favorite book. All I have to do is begin singing the song and she starts searching the house for the book. The illustrations are simple and engaging. I highly recommend singing along to your child while reading this book. It helps them visualize the song. (Also, another reviewer wrote that the spider only had six legs, but in ...

Our favorite version ! Full of laughs & giggles
Like I said in the title, this book by far is our favorite version of Itsy Bitsy Spider! And what the photo doesn't show is a soft black spider with big puffy eyes and a huge smile! The spider is attached to the book with a long ( but not too long) black cord and attaches to the second page via velcro. Margaret Spengler did an awesome job illustrating this book and making all of the insects so ...
