The Sea of Monsters (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Book 2) 101 reviews Rick Riordan
Miramax, 2007
Help for the Potter Addicted I've blasted through all four Percy Jackson & the Olympians series and re-read them for extra measure and pleasure. The seamless blending of 21st century situations AND Greek mythology is nectar and ambrosia to someone who, as a child, reveled in Plutarch's mythology of the Greek and Roman gods. It's cleverly written, captures the angst and language of teenagers who have become aware of ...

Left To Die 26 reviews Lisa Jackson
Zebra, 2008
Left to die left me hanging I would not protest, because I have read and enjoyed all of Lisa Jackson books. I am a great fan of hers. Even felt empathy through her divorce, ect. But, this left me somewhat disgruntled. I love series, but usually we are warned and I buy all and read in that order. Thay usually are only a month or so apart.......BUT to have to wait a year to see what happens is a little too long. Will I buy ...

The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, Book 1) 248 reviews Rick Riordan
Miramax, 2006
My 6th grade son couldn't put it down till he finished it! My 6th grade son, who isn't much of a book reader, recieved the first 3 books in this series. He read this book in 4 days and the 2nd book in 3.
It was awesome when he would finish a few chapters and then rush to tell me all about it. I loved to see the enthusiasm in him with book reading! He has even shared the books with his teachers and plans to donate the finished books to his school ...

Lost Souls 23 reviews Lisa Jackson
Kensington, 2008
I enjoyed this book I think this was quite a good book, it kept you guessing on who the killer was. I like Kristi and her Dad, New Orleans Dectective Rick Bentz and I enjoyed how Kristi hooked up with a former boyfriend, Jay. All of the characters held my interest. I thought the book had a lot of twists and turns. I am going to search out more of Lisa Jackson's books.

I love this book! This book is tough and the problems can be a 'nightmare', but it is a great book. I am a graduate student in physics and I just love how it goes into so many aspects of Electrodynamics and in detail.

Andrew Jackson 7 reviews Sean Wilentz
Times Books - Henry Holt and Company, 2005
Democracy Ascendant Sean Wilentz submits his mostly positive take on Andrew Jackson for the American Presidents series edited by Arthur M. Schlesinger, Jr. Jackson's reputation and ranking among US presidents has fallen in recent decades, mostly due to his treatment of Indians, his stance on slavery, and misunderstanding of his economic policies. Wilentz argues, and I concur, that any attempt judge Andrew Jackson by ...

The Percy Jackson and the Olympians Set (Percy Jackson and the Olympians) Rick Riordan
Hyperion Books, 2008
Humans and half-bloods alike agree--Percy Jackson and the Olympians is a series fit for heroes! Re-live the adventure from the beginning with this boxed set of the first three books. The Lightning Thief Percy Jackson is a good kid, but he can't seem to focus on his schoolwork or control his temper. When his mom tells him the truth about where he came from, she takes him to the one place he'll be safe--Camp Half-Blood, a summer camp for ...

Unspoken (Zebra Books) 14 reviews Lisa Jackson
Zebra, 1999
Great romance, suspence I love intelligent romantic suspence stories. I loved this book. You can feel for Shelby, who had her world turned upside down at the age of seventeen, and Nevada, who had Shelby, the love of his life, walk away from him, not knowing what she was going through. They come together again ten years later, to solve a very personal mystery. It's the kind of story I love reading.

Hot!!! I actually waited quite a while before I bought this book. Then when I got it, I read it in a day in a half. This book was HOT!!!! You get yours Taylor!!! Someone wrote that they didn't like the obvious connection at the end concerning Cheyenne's babies. I think that is the most ingenius thing Brenda Jackson done and I already preordered the book.

ONE HOT READ I READ ABOUT HIS BROTHER COLE BEFORE I READ THIS ONE. THESE MEN ARE SO VERY SENSUAL THAT YOU CAN JUST ABOUT BRING THEM TO LIFE. I STARTED TO READ AT 8:00AM AND DIDN'T FINISH UNTIL 11:30PM, BECAUSE I TO READ CERTAIN SECTION(CHAPTERS) OVER. IT TOOK ME THREE MONTHS TO FIND THIS BOOK BECAUSE THE OTHER SITES WERE SOLD OUT AND IT WAS WELL WORTH THE WAIT.
