Mistral's Kiss (Meredith Gentry, Book 5) 239 reviews Laurell K. Hamilton
Ballantine Books, 2006
why? Please tell me why I actually paid for this book? Like everyone else here I am invested in Merry. The first two books took me on a rollar coaster ride and I couldnt wait to get to the next book. Now i'm just wishing the end would HURRY up and get here. How about a book that goes somewhere? Better yet, how about a book at all. I think somewhere along the way LKH lost the plot and forgot why ...

Case Study Research: Design and Methods, Third Edition, Applied Social Research Methods Series, Vol 5 15 reviews Robert K. Yin
Sage Publications, Inc, 2002
Case Study Both books that I have received that are written by Robert Yin helped me immensely in re-writing my methods section in my dissertation. Since I was new to case study research and this section was the major flaw in my dissertation, it helped me complete an intelligible and methodologically correct research design and methods section. Excellent compliment to all of the case study research books ...

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (Book 3) 2602 reviews J.K. Rowling
Listening Library, 2000
The magic of Harry Potter I read this book a few years ago, when the the thrill of Harry was in it's prime. I've seen the movie more times than I can count and I must say the movie is excellent but not as good as the book. I've just reread this book and can't beleive all I had forgotten. It's truly a page turner. From the start when Harry spots the Grim to when Mr Weasley warns Harry of Sirius Black's escape and hunt ...

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Book 5) 5871 reviews J. K. Rowling, Mary GrandPré
Scholastic Paperbacks, 2004
My second favorite of the series The largest and second best, in my opinon, of the series is when the good side fights back. Voldemort is slaughtering "for fun" and The Order of the Phoenix won't stand for it. The Order of he Phoenix is basically the equivelent of the Justice League. The ending is a duel between the two greatist wizards alive and will keep you wanting more.

Anniversary Ed I am a huge fan of Harry Potter, but I must say I did delay ordering this book. I just didnt think a new cover and a few extras was worth the price. Now, having seen the pictures put up by others, I am so glad I did order it! I think the new cover looks gorgeous and cant wait for Amazon to ship my order! (I am in NZ and so have selected for all my books to arrive in 1 shipment to save on postage. ...

Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim 314 reviews David Sedaris
Little, Brown and Company, 2004
Sedaris knows how to show you a great time. I've loved every one of Sedaris' books, and just fininshed re-reading this one. I felt like some good laughs, and his books really deliver. Sometimes a "yikes" rather than a laugh, but always an impact. I have yet to find anyone than has the wit and style and ability to fascinate as well as produce a belly laugh like David Sedaris.

Steering the Craft: Exercises and Discussions on Story Writing for the Lone Navigator or the Mutinous Crew 15 reviews Ursula K. Le Guin
The Eighth Mountain Press, 1998
A Refreshing Text on Creative Writing "Steering the Craft" is a surprisingly good and practical book on creative writing. I was surprised because books and essays on writing by established authors can be downright patronizing and intentionally vague. Le Guin, on the other hand, uses lucid language and a gentle tone to explain the essential elements of good prose writing. The examples she uses are eye-opening, perhaps because I ...

Philip K. Dick: Five Novels of the 1960s & 70s 1 review Philip K. Dick
Library of America, 2008
Re: Excellent collection As with all the Library of America titles, this collection is superbly edited and presents the best available drafts of the selections. These selections, although less famous than the titles in the earlier Library of America volume, are still interesting, thought-provoking and entertaining to read. I recommend this collection for your own personal library.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (Book 2) 2655 reviews J. K. Rowling, Mary GrandPré
Scholastic Paperbacks, 2000
The series is getting good! This, the second book in the Harry Potter series, is better than the first, but not as good as the others. But that is just my opinion. In this book, Harry is beginning to wonder if he belongs at Hogwarts after a series of unfortunate events. I won't say anything else, exept that the series is a must read.

Wizards of the Coast, 2007
Love It!! Great Gift IDEA!!! I loved it as soon as I pulled out of the box and touched the shiny new cover. Opening it up was like entering a whole new world. The items are fresh and exiting. Easy to read and a joy to locate a new item that lays in wait for the unsuspecting adventuring party.
The only thing I have to say that is negative is:
it would be nice to have pictures of every item. But how realistic is ...
