This is single handedly, the most influential book I have ever picked up.
I first got it when I was 6, and it laid the ground work for the rest of my entire life. I'm an art student, I'm going to be an illustrator, I want to be in comics. This book is why and how.

They don't wilt.
My 11-year-old daughter spent a happy afternoon making flowers by herself. Several wrong turns and mistakes, but they turned out lovely. She was proud of them, put them in a small glass vase, and they're admired daily. Another ingenious Klutz book.

A big hit!
My 8-yr old daughter just loves this fashion design kit. This is her 2nd one... she received the fancy party dress kit last year for Christmas. She entertains herself for hours & comes up with the most creative designs. It is wonderful for ideas, creativity, motor skills, patience. Highly recommend it.

Fond Childhood Memories
I actually used this book as a child on long car trips. I remember it fondly. I have 2 sisters and we all played quite nicely with this...for a while. The only problem was we wanted to do different things in different parts of the book. This led to 3 little girls squabbling over a book. Not fun! My advice is to get 1 per child.

The best addition to any Lego collection
My son has a HUGE bin of Legos and enjoys building and rebuilding. This box/kit really challenges him. The best part is most of the contraptions have a function. He loves the candy dispenser made with Legos and rubber bands.
I highly recommend this for any Lego lover!

Excellent For Beginners
Within an hour of getting this book, I was able to juggle ( though not skillfully at all)three balls. Granted, I've had a little bit of prior juggling experience from years and years ago, so I wasn't totally unfamiliar with the motions. The instructions were very clear and so were the illustrations after I used a hi-liter to keep track of the otherwise black and white balls.

FUN--and helpful!
Whether it is posters, shadow boxes or running for student council, my kids always seem to have "projects" to do for school. This a wonderfully constucted (board covers and spiral bound) book that comes with pencils. The book is about drawing and meant to be drawn upon...what a combo! There is instuction in the book but it's subtle and never says *a sky should look like this and a dog like this*.
