Schindler's List101 reviews
Thomas Keneally

Simon & Schuster, 1994

Even More Compelling & Incredible Than The Movie
After seeing the film of SCHINDLER'S LIST, I had the feeling that it covered so much, included and recreated so much that it wasn't necessary to read the book. Last month, I visited Jerusalem and toured the Holocaust Museum (a profoundly disturbing experience I would recommend to everyone). I also found Oskar Schindler's grave just outside the Old City walls and saw the small stones atop ...

The Man Who Made Lists8 reviews
Joshua Kendall

Putnam Adult, 2008

Interesting But Poorly Written
Brevity is the soul of wit. The subject matter is incredibly interesting and the book is well researched. Unfortunately the book is poorly written, so much so that I am going to have to work rather hard to finish it.

The Next Thing on My List: A Novel38 reviews
Jill Smolinski

Three Rivers Press, 2008

Not typical chick lit
This book was wonderful. I thought the idea was great and had many interesting story lines to keep the book going at a fast pace. I really love how the ending turned out to be a bit different than what the book hints at throughout. All the characters were well developed and convincing. This is a lot better than your typical chick lit!

The Vocabulary Teacher's Book of Lists (J-B Ed: Book of Lists)5 reviews
Edward B., Ph.D. Fry

Jossey-Bass, 2004

Excellent resource for building vocabulary!
This is a comprehensive vocabulary book that covers interesting lists [capitonyms, SAT vocab, oxymorons etc], roots, word origins, subjects [scientific roots, emotions, sports etc], writing, foreign words [exonyms], spelling, abbr, phonics, measurement & geography, methods, affixes & roots, & homophones. I would recommend using this book together with the Writing Teacher's Book of Lists.

The New Book of Lists: The Original Compendium of Curious Information10 reviews
David Wallechinsky, Amy Wallace

Canongate U.S., 2005

A Listomaniacs Dream
Wallechinsky, Wallace and Wallace are THE listophiles supreme! For more years than I care to remember the Book of Lists and it's sequels have been giving us information that's presented with panache' and just the right amount of humor. Want to know about stupid criminals - It's in there. Want to know odd facts about historical figures - It's in there! Want a light, fun read to satisfy ...

The Wish List99 reviews
Eoin Colfer

Scholastic Inc., 2004

Some of Eion Colfer's Best Work.
This is a piece of writing that is very engaging(I couldn't put it down!) and will be pure delight to fans of some of the author's work (The Artemis Fowl Series, The Supernaturalists, etc.). It takes an honest look at good and evil, but still remains light-hearted and as clever as everything else he's written.

Girls on Film: An A-List Novel (2nd in A-List Series)53 reviews
Zoey Dean

Poppy, 2004

The A-List #2: Girls on Film
I liked this book just as much as the first one, and I was so happy with the ending I could just die. It reminded me of another sequel I've read, but I just can't think. Anyways, Susan came to Beverly Hills from rehab and now Cammie is trying to get at Anna by being friends with Susan, and Sam is very confused about her sexuality. Things between Anna and Adam are heating up, but Ben still isn't ...

The List45 reviews
Robert Whitlow

Thomas Nelson, 2004

The List
The List is an excellent book. I shared my copy with a friend. By the time I got it back she had loaned it to several other people. They all loved the book. I would like to view the movie when it is made available. However, I do not believe it could be nearly as exciting as the book.

The Southern Gardener's Book of Lists: The Best Plants for All Your Needs, Wants, and Whims14 reviews
Lois Trigg Chaplin

Taylor Trade Publishing, 1994

Good book
This book has black and white pictures which was a disappointment for me. It does have good lists of plants for every use in the garden. It has recommendations for plants to use in acidic soil, shade, full sun, rocky soil....Overall, I'm happy with it.

List Your Self: Listmaking as the Way to Self-Discovery15 reviews
IIene Seglove

Andrews McMeel Publishing, 1996

Excellent gift for elderly people
Excellent gift for elderly people. I gave this book to my father because he likes to write and he likes to have a place to keep his memories. Our entire family has been coaxing him to write down as many memories as possible in order that we can preserve his memory. Listmaking gives prompts to help achieve that goal.
