A Good Read
This book is well written, and flows keeping the readers attention. For a historical novel, she does a great job in keeping the reader enthralled. There are much better reviews than mine that go into more depth, but short and to the point this is a great novel written by a very good author and I do not think you will be dissapointed. I must also say that I did read two other books alongside this ...

A-, Not for Typical James Patterson Fans
This book gets an A- because it was: A) Different story, not a recycled one B) Couldn't put it down C) Light, easy reading I think the poor ratings I've seen on this book is because a lot of James Patterson fans were expecting something similar to his past books. From what I read of the other bad reviews, everyone seemed disappointed that this book came from Patterson. Setting that ...

Wow! This is superb!
In my humble opinion Ms. Ward has outdone herself with this one. OK, I'll get it out of the way first off. The romance story between Phury and Cormia doesn't have much meat on it, so I understand some complaints there. As a matter of fact by the romance point I was as ready to kick Phury out as the rest of the brotherhood. His dithering around wasn't at all attractive. And Cormia didn't get ...

The best of a thousand
I've read a thousand books, and most I'd consider good as I try to be discriminating with my reading. By good, I mean in the sense that I've been delighted, enriched, made to laugh out loud, and shown countless insights into living and this life we share. With no reservation, I count Merle's Door my favorite. No doubt the author's singleness, his passion for the outdoors, and his home ...

They remain in my keep pile even after reading them...at least twice. :)

A Guarenteed Bestseller
This book branches Jacie Collins to something that alot of people have been interested in. "Rags to Riches" is definetely the theme of the book. The characters are so real, I feel like I known these people in the celebrity life. SO I don't give this book no negavtive reviews. This is destined to be another bestseller.

Best of the series
I wasn't really looking forward to reading Zsadist's story because he was such a hard character to like, but wow! This book blew me away. I've read it twice already and it was even better the second time. The only negative thing I have to say about the BDB series is that it makes all others pale in comparison and finding other paranormal romances as good as these has proved impossible. ...

It Was Great
Don't go into this book expecting a manual and you will not be disappointed. It's a conversationally delivered comparisson of primates and canid behaviors, and how they sometimes (often) conflict, with some stories that make it all seem more relevant to real life, mixed in. I enjoyed this book because I find this topic fascinating. The next time I trained a dog after reading this book, I was ...

First Crack At The Brotherhood
I'm reading these books out of order, and tried this one first. And WOW! First, Ward's writing is fantastic. I was drawn in immediately felt like I was really there in the middle of the action. If you're new like me, dropping in the middle was no problem. Although I will warn you, you may be spending a lot of money gobbling up the rest of her books. I really liked Jane as a character. ...

True Fantasy.
I have read all of Sherrilyn Kenyon Dark-Hunter Series. This is the best of all of them. This is the first book I have read of hers and I read it 3 times after that. That is how good it is. It makes you want to read on and never put the book down, ever. The way she describes Julian makes you hot and bothered. You can see him in your mind. Every noc and crany that she tells you and some ...

Happy with the quality of the book
This book is beautiful inside and out. The outside is burgundy leather? bound with gold stamped letters. Very classic looking. The story itself is so well written, Corrie ten Boom draws you into her family. To hear how God worked miracles in spite of German occupation and concentration camps, and the lack of money and resources, was very faith building. I highly recommend this book.

To Rob B.
I just had the misfortune to stumble upon Rob B's "review" of "The Great One" Mark Levin's book "Rescuing Sprite." Rob B. must not have read this great book, (he probably can't read at all) because politics is NOT MENTIONED ONCE in it. I'm writing this as someone who has gone through the same anguish as Mr. Levin and who related to the same feelings he had. For Rob. B to write this hateful ...

Brilliant new approach--definitely worth it
I bought this book after I heard Dr. La Puma give a women's workshop in San Francisco. Though he had the audience at "Dark Chocolate", the book is even better! I have a lot of health books, including You on a Diet and the Zone ... and a ton of cookbooks too: Mark Bittman, Deborah Madison, Fannie Farmer, Joy of, James Peterson, and of course, Harold McGee's On Food and Cooking. But ChefMD's ...

Of all human appurtenances that forsake us, it seems apparent the loss of a friendship dooms us the most
"I am doomed to remember a boy with a wrecked voice", writes John Irving. Instantaneously introducing Owen Meany, whose minute physique and irritating voice create unforgettable presence throughout the story. This novel is about two pre-puberty boys whose innocent camaraderie segues into sophisticaded friendship. In the beginning, Johnny denies and mocks Owen. (As always the case when ...

A great read for any law student
I ordered this book shortly after my acceptance into law school because I wanted to be more prepared before my first semester started and I believe this book really helped. A lot of the information seemed like common sense stuff to me, but it really helped.
