The Best of Martha Stewart Living: Decorating With Color 1 review Martha Stewart
Oxmoor House, 2002
Gorgeous and inspirational If you like Martha's style, and I do, then you will love this book. The photography is gorgeous. This book explains in detail how Martha and her staff of designers put a room together in terms of color. She only uses one color palette per room, which explains why her decor always has the same look, no matter what the style of furniture. This will be a favorite of mine for a long, long time.

Smithsonian, 1989
The Mexican War The Mexican War (1846-48) was the first major event captured by photographs (daguerreotypes) as well as by prints, and this book assembles quite a number of both. In addition to two dozen lithographs included in the introductory sections, over 160 prints and daguerreotypes, grouped according to where and when they were made/taken, make up the book. The groupings for the material are: Prints of ...

The Martha Stewart Living Christmas Cookbook 4 reviews Martha Stewart Living Magazine
Clarkson Potter, 2003
This book MUST be in your cookbook collection! I have read this newly-published cookbook from cover to cover today and I LOVE IT! It's not surprising Martha Stewart could put together a collection of recipes representing the Christmas holiday. Some cookbooks only focus on Christmas cookies or only Thanksgiving, but this cookbook highlights sophisticated recipes from drinks (I hadn't seen a Ramos Gin Fizz in a cookbook ever!) to entrees and ...

Holidays: The Best of Martha Stewart Living 2 reviews
Oxmoor House, 1993
Looking for a way to make your holidays more elegant? This offering from Martha Stewart provides a new, more
elegant way to celebrate the holidays. The menus she
presents are a refreshing departure from the traditional
"turkey and dressing". Her decorating ideas are absolutely
exquisite (a fact that did not go unnoticed by our guests).
My friends and I enjoyed making the decorations and
preparing the meal as much as our guests enjoyed looking

Favorite Comfort Food 1 review Martha Stewart
Leisure Arts@ Inc, 1999
Good home cooking Growing up with a Mexican mother my idea of childhood comfort food recipes are not the ones listed in this book. So basically, I've had to teach myself how to make American comfort food and this book has been my best teacher. I have had this book for a few years now and it continues to be one of my favorite cookbooks (and boy do I have a lot of cookbooks!) The buttermilk pancakes are superior to ...

University of New Mexico Press, 2003
A fine visionary approach to archaeology May Castleberry's informed and informative text comprising New World's Old World is wonderfully enhanced for readers with exceptional black and white photos of ancient American cultures before the Spanish conquest. Martha Stewart Living, December 2007 Issue 1 review Editors of MARTHA STEWART LIVING Magazine
Martha Stewart Living, 2007
Living Magazine I ordered this magazine for my mother in The Netherlands where it is not for sale. She loves gardening, baking (cooking), crafts and entertaining. All subjects are well covered in Martha's magazine. You must be able to withstand the 'martha' talk. It's all rather wholesome to a degree that might be too much for some. However, unlike her tv-program, the magazine is more actual information and less ...

Up North: A Guide to Ontario's Wilderness from Blackflies to the Northern Lights 1 review Doug Bennet, Tim Tiner
McClelland & Stewart, 1998
THE GOOD, THE GREAT, THE ALMOST PERFECT If I was stranded in Northern Ontario with no hope of return, what would i do? Pray for a copy of Up North!! This is a purely entertaining, and fact filled rendition of Ontario's wildlife. There is only one fault in the whole book, some species were left out, ones that are very common in ontario, but that is zilch compared to the great format and organization of the book! This ...

The Barefoot Contessa Cookbook 239 reviews Ina Garten, Martha Stewart

Great Food in No Time at All! I have recently become a fan of The Barefoot Contessa (Ina Garten) and wanted to own one of her lavishly illustrated coffee table cookbooks. I checked them all out of my local library and settled on this, her first book--not because it is better, but because it contains more of the recipes I am interested in. The photos are lovely, directions easy to follow and taste is superb, plus they are not ...
