Mayberry Memories
An excellent book and well put together. You will find amazing photographs of all the characters in the cast...and then some. One of the most interesting photos, in this book, is one of an ariel view of the Mayberry Town near Culver City, California. An actual town within a town. I have read other books and also found them interesting with regard to the Andy Griffith show, but it was great to ...

New Look at an Old Show
Being a huge Andy Griffith fan, I picked this book up the other day. Don't know what I was expecting, but I was pleasantly surprised. Any Andy fan can tell you that the show was full of good, heart-warming stories, but I had never thought of the show in the terms presented by the author. To clarify, this book is not filled with epsisode trivia, or preachy sermon topics. However, it does ...

Excellent resource and lots of fun, too
This book is a delight for Andy Griffith fans and scholars alike. I have used this book for graduate work, the Mayberry Bible study, and for a reference tool when I am watching a marathon. Brower brings new insights to these old friends and makes the show even more enjoyable

Aunt Bee's Mayberry Cookbook
Being from a small town and now living away from it this book is like having my little aunties giving me their secert recipes... God rest their soul! I wish I had been old enough to ask them for them personally, but I found a lot of them in these two books. This is one of the two Mayberry cookbooks I own.

As good as the island itself
Wonderful book about the wonderful, small-town, slow-paced island of Topsail. There are stories of pirates, hurricanes, fishing piers and the famous sea turtle hospital. There are also stories of the Gold Hole dig for buried treasure, the Navy's top-secret missile development program after World War II, and the bear who somehow came to Topsail. This book won the Willie Parker Peace History Book ...

Great!
Burning up was the 1st Blaze novel I read. I liked the story and the main character! It was an easy ready and was not overtly sexual. It had just amount of passion, love and suspense that a good Romance novel should have. I would definitely recommend this book to a friend. I've already given it to my roommate to read!

pleasantly surprised
Sometimes I pick up these Blaze books just because I know it will be a quick read and the loves scenes are usually pretty good. To me they're not usually the greatest books written in the world and they're just too thin to get into any good character development. However, this book was pretty darned good. It was nice to read about a different subject such as boxing and a good twist that it was ...
Can't I Love What I Criticize?: The Masculine and Morrison
Susan Neal Mayberry
University of Georgia Press
, 2007
Taking a close look at all the key male figures in Toni Morrison's eight novels, this book explores Morrison's admitted, but critically neglected, interest in the relationships between African American men and women and the "axes" on which these relationships turn. Most Morrison scholarship deals with her female characters. Can't I Love What I Criticize? offers a response to this imbalance and to Morrison's call for more work on men, who remain, ...

SUMMER IN THE CITY - I was reminded that as a reader sometimes we limit ourselves in not venturing out to read others who write for the genre. An analogy is the perfect way to read and hear the voice of a new found author. For me it was authors Sarah Mayberry and Emilie Rose who along with Sandra Marton contributed to Hot City Nights. I'm a sincere fan of Sandra Marton's. I've actually read ...
