INTERESTING READ. I ENJOYED IT.
Daniel Hays, who happens to own an Island off the shore of Nova Scotia, apparently became disenchanted with his life and was able to talk his wife into joining him for one year, with their child (actually, Daniel's step son), and two dogs, and live on this remote hunk of rock. I have to admit I enjoyed ever word of the story of their adventure there. Hays has an easy style to his writing that ...

Wonderful Workbook
This was a textbook assigned for an online psychology course. This was one of the best "self-help" books I have ever read. This book is easy to read, plus each chapter has a section for activities pertaining to the topics covered. I learned a lot about myself from this book. I recommend doing the activities and answering the questions from each chapter to get the most out of this book. Authors ...

When conflicts arise in a marriage, the promise of peace through divorce is a temptation that few can resist. Divorce has become an acceptable and frequently encouraged solution to marital problems. As the Prathers tell us, today's "separation psychology," with its myriad of support groups and counselors, promotes selfishness: "you have a right to the kind of life you want," "the right partner ...

Right On Target
I first saw M.M. in the lobby of the Hyatt in Columbus this year. I didn't know who she was- but my sister did. So, as any mature, 44 yr. old woman would do, she walked right up to her, tapped her on the shoulder and said "I know who you are",and walked away smiling. I saw Ms. Meberg several times more over the next two days and really felt drawn by her speaking style so much so that I bought her ...

Harold Robbins

Sensitive, romantic, human and touching.
Its surely a matter of personal opinion but I have found this to be my favourite Harold Robbins novel. Although first published in the 1950s, it remains just as captivating today. It is much less flash or overstated than his more contemporary stories but consequently more subtle and character centred in its simple plot. Let it take you away on a rainy day.
