A Must Have Book in the Whelping Room
Myra once again covers topics that are not addressed in other books on breeding and whelping. If you want to give a weak pup a chance to go BIS someday, this is the book for you. The DVD at the back of the book is a superior visual aide in teaching how to tube feed, etc. Lots of room for notes.

Great book - am keeping this one close to hand
Written in a clear, easy to read and entertaining manner by two authors who are both mothers and paediatricians, this book gives straightforward, helpful and unjudgmental advice. Much is common sense and much I've gleaned from reading other books or from my antenatal classes, but of the books I've been given before my son was born this is the one I'm keeping close to hand. It was easy to read ...

A new kind of childcare book- all the answers I need and fun to read
My kids are 2, 5 and 7 yrs. I actually bought this book because I saw that it had a chapter on school. My 5 yr old had a rocky first week at school and I was really worried. I read the school chapter first and the first thing it did was it made me feel better. The book reminded me that starting school is another new experience for my son and he needs time to get used to it, which of course on ...

Very good
I got scared about all this vaccination-autism fuss, and this book is very informative about vaccinations, it gives you tips and all the information to make a decision and even investigate more about all this. I feel more prepared and confident when I talk to my pediatrician; we have to take all this very seriously because we are our children's voice.

Wonderful Book
This was the first book I bought about pregnancy. I bought it on sale even before I found out I was expecting. The book is very well organized and very easy to read. It contains great explanation for every possible question you may have about your pregnancy. It is also very richly illustrated with photos, drawings and charts. I still keep it next to my bed and read it every now and then. I'd ...

Advice from a good friend
"Nipple Confusion" is for people who want the whole truth about having a child. Your siblings have had children, your friends have had children but very few of them actually talk about what really goes on and they might if only you knew what to ask... Read this book and you won't have to. The author's humorous, insightful, self-effacing look at the life of a newborn's father is like getting ...

A must-have for a breastfeeding family with an older sibling
This book is, in my opinion, an absolute must-have and perfect gift for any family who plans to breastfeed, especially if practicing other forms of attachment parenting, like babywearing or co-sleeping. This book makes me tear up every single time I have read it, to myself or my daughter. It's just superbly done. The text just assumes that baby will be breastfed, or acknowledges the ...

This book is my bible for raising my sheep. It covers every problem I have so far encountered and has saved many a ewe and lambs over the years. Even my vet has read through it when he has had a question, I think that says alot right there! It is easy to read and understand, and the charts in the back help alot to find the problems. I definantly recomend this book, over all others I have found.

Calming and Brilliant. This book saved my sanity!
This book shows the caring yet realistic way through the NICU. I ordered this book while in the hospital three weeks prior to my son's early arrival. It made more sense in the NICU, showed me what to exepct and gave me more knowledge to adequately approach my son's medical team without feeling helpless, stupid and uninformed. Being a more well-informed parents allowed us to make correct ...

best baby organizer we've found
I'm on my second kid and have seen a bunch of books like this. This one is definitely the most organized and helpful. Everything is all in one place by date, so poor tired Mommy doesn't have to go hunting each time she switches from feeding to diapering baby (and so on). There is a place for little notes on baby's mood and milestones for baby each week. There are quick-reference charts in ...

Good buy
I asked my partner to compare all the pregnancy books that I found in Kinokuniya bookstore. I am glad he choose this book, since it covers from pregnancy till 36 months. I did compare it with Dr Miriam Stoppard's books, and find this book is way much better for its illustration and explanation. It give step by step guidance through pregnancy that you want to know and even the basic knowledge such ...

Absolutely fantastic book! Spread the word
This is the best resource on pregnancy and post-partum that I have found. Completely accessible, easy to read, well organized, thorough and detailed... I can't give it enough praise. I was especially impressed (and thankful) for the detailed childbirth section, which provided a wealth of information that most books only touch on. This is my first baby, and I feel so much more prepared and in ...

This book is Great!
I purchased this book at the beggining of my women's health class. First test out I had a 19 chaper test, with well over 300 pages to read. Probably more.I was totally stressing over all the pages I had to read and how I was gonna retain all this information in such a short period of time. So I started reading this book, which is basically an outline that covers the key information, and gets rid ...

Compassion and real people
I thought that the book "Miracle Birth Stories Of Very Premature Babies" by Timothy Smith was a well crafted and welcome addition to the world of medical literature. As I was reading, I felt like I was in the hospital with each set of parents, going through their triumphs and defeats with them. One strong aspect of the book is that it is written for the average person, in basic language ...

Excellent and educational for the medical profession
As a gynecologist based in Spain, I found this book extremely helpful while counseling my patients about breastfeeding, and while breastfeeding myself. I think most obstetrical textbooks do not cover enough the aspect of breastfeeding, and numerous questions remain to be answered, some as simple as: both breasts or one breast?. These simple questions, however, are an important source of stress to ...
