Fantastic Kids book!!!
This is one of our favorite books (my 18 month old and me) It's short on words but the fantastic illistrations tell the story. We read it several times each day. It's one of the first books my daughter brings to me when she wants a story read to her. All the adults that pick it up love it as well. I would recommend it to everyone.

Loved it!
Intriguing and emotional, PHANTOM OF THE NIGHT was exactly what I was looking for. It was the perfect blend of romance and suspense with well-drawn characters including a wounded, yet honorable hero and strong heroine. I can't wait to read the next adventure by Kenyon and Love!

Book provides "Hoop-Dreams" insights for the gridiron set
Bissinger, the author, came to Odessa to follow the Permian Panthers thru their entire 1988 season, attending practices as well as games, spending time with several of the key players and their families, reading the newspapers, interviewing the movers and shakers in the desolate, tapped-out landscape in the middle of Nowhere, Texas. Most of us have heard that Texans regard their high school ...

This story hit home as I am a member of a knitting club - we meet at each others homes. This story kept my interest and shows you just how friendships start and grow but have a box of kleenex near. A very good read

WE MUSTN'T FORGET!!!
Night is the accounts of one man's one year survivial of one of our worlds worst atrocities. Clearly, while reading this book I too would question with every turn of the pages, "where was god?". If anything would test one's faith, I couldn't imagine anything more befitting. There are countless survivors of millions of different struggles. Mine has been a congenital heart disease. Many of us have ...

Amazing
Be careful! The emotional impact of this story sneaks up on you. Told from the point of view of 15-year-old, autistic Christopher Boone, Mark Haddon's The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time leads you to believe that it is going to be a mystery when Christopher decides to investigate the murder of his neighbor's dog, Wellington, who he finds dead with a pitchfork through his side. What ...

Very Well-Done Book
From the opening sentence to the close, this delightful tome holds one's attention as the protagonist wanders from revelation to revelation in a mystery that simply pleases. Cox has fashioned a Victorian novel that entertains with its decorous writing, its finely wrought descriptions and its respect for the reader. Admittedly, the book depends perhaps a little too much on coincidence and ...

Ill met by moonlight, proud reader?
I must say that until I saw a simple, highschool play of this particular work, I was deathly afraid of SHakespeare, thinking it boring and only something for people over fifty to discuss and teach. WEll, i was wrong. This particular story brings in classical characters from Greek Mythology, such as Theseus and Hyppolita (sorry if I butcher her name...lol) as well as the regal Titania and ...

I thought it was a very interesting premise.....
I noticed a lot of reviewers compared this to Ward's books but really and truely a paranormal is a paranormal is a paranormal. I mean how many ways can you write this sort of book, you either have a group of or you don't. You either have a curse or you don't, you either have hunters or you don't. Really if you like paranormal I think you'll like this series. But as another reviewer stated ...

Deep study for self-examination and meditation
Do not let the size of this little classic make you think it will be a quick read and easy study. It is difficult reading with regard to the somewhat archaic language but more so for the probing nature the author demonstrates in self-examination. It is not a quick study but one that helps you work out your salvation with fear and trembling. The wounds it can inflict may be painful but ...

House Of Night - Where do I sign up?
I was amazed by the world that both of the Cast's have constructed in this series. The premise is quite basic - a school for potential Vamps. A college where those who have been 'marked' turn to in order to be integrated into the world that they may very soon be entering. The fact that as the story progresses you see that nothing is ever as it seems, and that although they are Vampires they are ...

More than a memoir
Much more than a memoir, Beryl Markham's work is a means of transport, not dissimilar to her beloved plane. It took me back to the Africa I lived in as a young bride, to its stark beauty, its dignified and desparate people, the language of its silences. Her tale of matter-of-fact mercies, and of cruelty equally unremarkable, is the stuff of life, as full of hope as of despair, for its millions of ...

Start your new family out right and truly enjoy your children!!!
I used this book with both my children; implementing the guidelines as soon as they were born. I cannot recommend it enough!!!! Our children thrived off the predictable routine and maximum sleep time. They were fantastic sleepers and still are. At ages 7 and 4 both children have been sleeping (in their own beds) from 8:30 P.M. till 8:00 A.M. without waking up since they were about 9 months old. I ...

Tough Times on the Riviera
Not the most cohesive of Fitzgerald's work, Tender is the Night does deliver on Fitzgerald's beautiful prose and heartbreaking characterizations. The novel explores the disintegration of a promising young American doctor whose idealism comes under the crushing weight of hard capitalistic power. At times it becomes difficult to believe in the main character's steady decline since early in the ...
