The Conditions in Occupational Therapy: Effect on Occupational Performance (Spiral Manual Series) 6 reviews
Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, 2006
From a Student Perspective I am taking my Adult Physical Dysfunction class right now and almost every diagnosis in the book is one that we are studying. The case studies throughout the book are very helpful and BEST of all, the book gives an Occupational Performance Profile to let me (as a beginning OT) know which performance areas and components are being affected for each specific patient. It is a wonderful book.

Quick Reference to Occupational Therapy 4 reviews Kathlyn L. Reed
Pro-Ed, 2000
Good resource for diagnosis information and protocols. As an American OTR living and practicing in Japan, I need to have a quick reference for the many diagnoses that I am presented with daily. Without the benefit of other therapists to consult with, I am continually looking to this book for a starting place. A good resource for experienced practitioners and a must-own for beginning therapists. Now if there was only an updated edition?

A tremendous book The above reviewer will obviously have occupational health issues, because smoking weed while writing reviews will cause one to be disoriented, lose their balance, and possibly fall off a 100 story construction site beam. This is an amazing book. While covering all of the topics in depth, this book is also easy to read, presenting the material in a fashion that allows the reader to recieve a ...

Best study tool for the OT exam I used this, the NBCOT study guide, and the OT Review and Study Guide from International Educational Resources to study for my exam. Occupational Outlook Handbook, 2008-2009 (Occupational Outlook Handbook (Jist Works)) 1 review
JIST Works, 2008
The Encyclopedia of Career Information I've used various editions of the OOH for 20 years. It is a central tool for those looking for information about careers and jobs out there ... rich detail, much data on occupational projections and salaries, but not to the point of being mind-numbing (which would be easy to do.) On the other extreme, much of the career literature & reference material is simplistic, basic, or paternalizing and ...
